I am a democrat and never wanted any wars because I knew who would in the end pay for it. The working person, the poor, the disabled, the old, and our children's children.

The wealthy are NOT the bad people here. The Republican AND Democrats are the problem. They both spend more money than we take in, they care more about staying in office than caring about the people that elected them and they have their own agenda.....and it is not good for us!

They have been destroying this country, taking away our rights and spending like drunken sailors. And I take issue with people like you that buy into the idea that the rich need to pay for everything.

The government is NOT our friend. This should be the land of opportunity, not the land of government assistance. This is a capitalist society not socialistic. If you fortunate to be rich....good for you, but if your not....you should have opportunity to make life what you want....without the rich paying for it!

If you want someone to blame.....try our elected officials. If you haven't noticed we spend way more money than we take in, do you think that will go on for ever? Why do you think so many are out of work? Do you really think more taxes from the rich will make it better? Maybe you need to stop listening to MSM and look at the numbers, I think you'll find a completely different story.

I don't care if you believe me or not, just take the time to find out for yourself.....not some idiot on the television telling you what everything means, but actually finding out for yourself. now watch...when the economy starts to flatten out or even get worse, the republicans will be blaming Obama for
1)...increase in homeless
2)...increase in crime
3)...more people applying for welfare
4)...Obama not personally increasing the number of jobs
and since 2014 is an election year, these will be the republican talking points, hoping enough of the American public will be fooled and vote in a majority of tea-baggers

According to the facts, the wealthy are doing just fine since the 08 Crash. They can afford paying for wars a lot more than the rest who lost wages and retirements from the Great Recession and The Financial Crash.

They benefited from the TARP, the borrowing from China billions for QE. My income or my grown children's income has not increased a dime since 08 but we pay our taxes.

Now or later, taxes will have to be increased if corps keep sitting on trillions instead of hiring for an increased tax base. They cannot continue to have it both ways.

Maybe you could quote exactly what Obama HAS done. Maybe can tell us where we will get the money to pay for our programs when we overspend by one trillion dollars every year.

Why is the position of the Tea Party fooling anyone? As far as I can see their one goal is responsible spending of government. Is that wrong?

If they continue to print money, doesn't that devalue the little money we all make now?

I was born to poor, racist, violent, alcoholic Mississippi parents. I know what the worst is. The worst is belly swollen hunger. I am not afraid of riots because I have been there too in the 1960's. I am not afraid of dying.

I overcame the odds. I am not wealthy but I could retire at 57 because of hard work, a frugal life, and putting money in a trust fund, not the stock market.

My family will handle anything you have to throw at us.

Good for you....you sound like a very strong woman.

However, what you fail to understand is that we are on the same side. I just think you are pointing your anger in the wrong direction. We are all getting screwed.

I agree some of the wealthy pay into it but the majority comes form the workin mid to low class, we dont have the fancy tax lawyers they can get our money back through this and that tax right offs. I agree the rich and wealthy get taxed higher but doesn't mean they let their money go. But yes the Gov is not our friend, never has, never will. We need state govs at the highest level. NOT federal

During world war II the whole country was mobilized to fight the war. The current economic situation is at least as dire as a war, we have millions out of work, jobs are disappearing and everyone wants to seem to put a band aid on it instead of doing something. We need a HUGE mobilization to save this country, not raising minimum wage on a bunch of dead end jobs and keeping people afloat with infusions of cash. We need to rebuild our economy, and create jobs that generate pay people can survive on. All these handouts and programs are not treating the root cause of the problem, which is lack of good jobs. Yes some jobs have gone and are not coming back. We as Americans are going to have to work hard and innovate and create new jobs, we have no choice.

It should start with cracking down on the Banksters, and then the FED, and then a new trade and tax policy.

Raising taxes on the rich like they were before Reagan, and trade policy also where we protected American jobs.

Bringing back Glass Steegle that Clinton did and getting rid of NAFTA and other similar scams that make the rich richer and everybody else poorer.

Then we need a national policy of massive infrastructure maintenance and public and private works jobs.

Then the economy would prosper

But the elite are deliberately doing austerity all over the world
It was a scam from the start, the 2007-8 depression was all a fix by the elite to bring us to this and it will get worse until the American people wake up.
That is unlikely to happen

Those benefits need to end. It's turned into welfare. Unemployment benefits should last no more than 3 months with the possibility to get (3) 1 month extensions(6 months total). If those people cannot find a job then do what I had to when I was younger; Move and get a JOB!!!!

Do you agree that you have put more then 6 months of 300 a week, assuming you get the max, per week? So thats your money right? Why not be allowed to use it, that was the point of them taking it out of your check for you. Now that really only applies to people under the current 2 year period. But to say nothing over 6 months to me says you are ok with them taking money form you

Well, good for you.

As for me, I think both parties stink! I think they want us to believe they are two different things, but they are not. Try not to listen to their words and look at their actions, by votes. They both are taking away our rights and destroying the dollar. Neither party is telling us the truth.

For me, I believe in the constitution and the Bill of Rights. I believe in a free market society, where you work hard, you get ahead. Unfortunately, we do not live in this society. Everything is controlled, manipulated and we are headed to a very bad place unless we wake up!

You can continue to believe in the two party system, that blacks are getting screwed by the whites, ignore the rampant spending of our government, that things will turn around and get better and that we live in a free society. But these are lies.

I looked at it much like you a few years ago, until I heard someone spewing that it's all a lie. I got angry and did my own research to prove him wrong. That opened my eyes to the BS we are being fed.

Put that energy to new ideas. You know from history the most powerful thing for humans is an "idea". I am tired and only have hard learned lessons to talk about.

I agree, it is not democrat or republican. But something happened when we all were not looking.

You want to know what I'm doing about it? First, I am preparing myself and my family the best I can.

Secondly, I'm telling people like you that might be willing to listen. You see, most people don't or won't listen. They don't have a clue and the have "normalcy bias". You get statements like: "...its never happened before", "I haven't heard anything about this", "...that's crazy talk...nothing is going to happen". I am not going to try and convince anyone that is that closed minded.

All I can hope is they are curious enough to find out for themselves, or are angry at me enough to get proof to prove me wrong. Either way they will eventually understand.

See your under the impression that we can turn this around. Frankly, I'm not convinced of that. I think this has gone so far down the hole, that we have to make the best of a bad situation.

The best way is to have the American people rise up and make radical changes with the government, but I think the people are too comfortable in their world to see what's coming.

That's why I am preparing my family the best I can, give information to people that can absorb the truth and hunker down.

So if you were trying to goad me into some overt action, that is not going to happen. I feel no need to "save the world" when most don't have a clue and don't care.
