For those who that have heard, Piers Morgan thinks he's a better cricketer than most of the Englishmen touring Australia at the moment, he's now here in Australia and has challenged Brett Lee, one of the fastest bowlers in the world (even in semi-retirement), to bowl an over at him in the nets at the MCG.

This should be great if Brett doesn't go easy on him, at his best, he could bowl at around 160km/hr or 100 mile an hour for the Americans.

Thommo, in my days. Fastest and most accurate.

Yup.

You seen this bowling comp from the 70's?

I actually thought Thommo was faster, but for that era and no helmets...scary stuff

Yes, have seen that. First saw it many years ago televised. Thommo certainly showed them how to bowl.

They be the wickets, with bails placed on top of the 3 sticks. The general idea is to knock the bails off the 3 sticks or to catch a ball struck by the batter before the ball lands on the ground? No mitten allowed/except for a the wicket keeper, who wears gloves. Its a long complicated game, with lots of strange positions for the fielders, like silly mid off and silly mid on. I don't really understand it despite being English. Its possibly as boring as baseball if not more so.

Piers Morgan Tweet:My mother called. 'Who is Bert Lee, and why is he saying he's going to make you eat hospital food?' @BrettLee_58 @MCG

It's a tough game to explain isn't it?

You have a bowler delivering slow left chinamen around the wicket to the batsman looking to sweep off his legs down to deep fine leg for a quick single, but the ball gets picked up by backward square leg and thrown to the keeper who whips the bails off and appeals for a run out to the umpire.

Are you Lloyd Christmas's doppelgänger?

Cricket is the second most popular game in the world, after soccer.
