butcherguyWhy would that Marine pick a piece of crap like the WWII surplus Mannlicher Carcano? It couldn't be expected to give very good accuracy and it certainly isn't what even a deer hunter would wish to carry, much less a fellow that is getting geared up to assassinate a popular US President.

I can imagine that he picked it out because it was cheap and powerful enough to get the job done.

I own a Carcano that is nearly identical to the one Oswald allegedly used. The only difference is that I have a Weaver scope mount and a cheap 1" scope. It is in pitiful condition, the bore is black and pitted and the fixed sights are better suited to holding on a target at 300 yards. The bore is in such poor condition that ammunition expected to move 2100 fps does only about 1950 fps when I tested it over my chronograph. With my Carcano I can shoot five rounds into a five in inch group at 100 yards. This accuracy is good enough to hit a human sized target at the 90 or so yards that JFK was shot at from the TSBD.

Oswald's rifle was probably in better condition than mine. But even if it wasn't, there is no reason to believe it is unsuitable for hunting deer or humans. Let's compare it to a Winchester M94 chambered in 30-30; a very common deer cartridge. The 6.5 mm cartridge used in the Carcano is a bit more powerful and the longer slender bullet has far superior ballistics than the typical 30-30 flat noise required for tube magazines. with a soft point bullet the Carcano will serve well as a hunting rifle, with a fmj bullet it has very good penetrating characteristics.

It is very obvious that Lee Harvey Oswald and George de Mohrenschildt were good friends and the infamous Hunter of Fascist becomes interesting per General Walker. George was White Russian, meaning from the area of Minsk.

So, the biggest secret is the competing interests of PERMINDEX per its International games, vs the JFK affairs of state, which they tried to usurp to defy both Eisenhower and Kennedy. Then enters these Hungarian associated cross overs that infect things from the Harvey / Vary operations in New Orleans, to the USAEC's Dr. Urey discovery of the person they wanted to secretly use to off Castro using cancer science chicanery methods.

PERMINDEX's foreign interests wanted Castro left in place due to control over drug money, but hated the Castro switch to the Communist side, but that also locked out drugs from Cuba.

PERMINDEX operativew were behind the LHO trip to Russia to get the U-2's exposed and shot down. Then via th same PERMINDEX connections, Lee Harvey is back in New Orleans working with Dr. Oscher and the INCA gang to kill Castro. When JFK efforts with the Soviets and Castro became so advanced, LHO served more the purpose as fall guy for them. That was spurred on via a pot shot at General Walker.

So, it is essential to figure in PERMINDEX operations with Lee HARVEY Oswald, and the Guy Banister (Mr. B) games in New Orleans. With a little bit of digging around anyone can find the connections of PERMINDEX with Rockefeller Banking, and the Swiss Banking firm associated with Tibor Rosenbaum, and from there all the Hungarian connections that started much of their collaborations:

It isn't about the power of the cartridge. It is the Italian war surplus weapon and the rapidity of the shots fired. I am not a novice to the world of firearms, and have shot Carcanos.
If you canvassed snipers, doubt that any would willingly choose that rifle from the ones available in 1963.

The Hungarian Revolution was a huge part of the Communist fear induced into the US from the 1956 time frame. Hungarians organized a huge revolt against the Russians and at first they won against one Russian tank division, then the Russians get really mad and set in many tank divisions and killed off 5,000 Hungarians in short order and sent some 200,000 others fleeing into the US and West. Many coming into the US ended up in Indiana and places like the Salton Sea. The Soviets won by sending in 1,000 tanks and declared victor on Nov. 11, 1956. And some think Nov. 22 is partly symbolic.

Hungary was a country of 20% Nobles and their names with Y's were often symbolic of those Noble titles. And one can follow much of they hidden to American's symbolism and find it in various Zionist efforts as well as anti-Communist themes that involved PERMINDEX and some American USAEC and CIA crossovers.

It appears he was giving information to Israel scientists on nuclear projects along with his Jewish Manhattan Project associates, so when he made appeals for the Rosenbergs he had wider range concerns.
