Thanks again, Dear Heart for your kind words and thoughtful posts.

[BTW, walls of text more than 5-7 lines long without a break tend to cause a lot of people to scroll on by them. For old eyes like mine, it's ALMOST painful to try and read such a mass of text. That's one reason I go overboard with space between lines.]

1. I wrote about the issue more in the abstract as an issue of principles.

2. Certainly the case hasn't been "proven" in a court of law sort of fashion.

3. My main assertion is that the mentality described is destructive to society and to individuals--whether or not--this particular case is "proven" in a court of law.

4. I suspect the surgeon has ample resources to fight off the attack if it's totally bogus--and maybe re-coop unwarranted damages . . . if, they are INDEED, unwarranted.

5. I respect highly your emphasis on proof. I just don't think all true things are 'court-of-law-provable.'

Thx for your friendship and important posts on ATS.

Heading back to bed.

Blessings this CHRIST-mas to you and yours.

You are correct, not all things are court of law provable, however in this instance everything considered this should be a text book court of law (civil or criminal) case, which it is not, apparently what ever the claim is only warranted a suspension of practice (for non legal authorities also un named to investigate).

To me I understand is normal practice but for all the knee jerkers out there this is proof of nothing the only thing this means is that, this guys employers want to make sure hes not forgetting to dot his eyes and CROSS his TEE's.

I am trying to space these so not so big a wall =D I will consider this for further posting everywhere and they are not old eyes your just used to them by now

Now you are being pedantic ....

I just made a comment (as an aside) to @BADGERPRINTS at the end of a post

agreeing to a statement he made regarding that the liver is the only organ that

regenerates - which basically is a truism.

The second paragraph of his post specifically mentions the 'scarring' of burns??

I didn't see the mention of cirrhosis at all in his post!?

As you seem to be determined to misunderstand me perhaps It would be better

you simply ignore my posts!!

Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver i know i am not involved in the point you are making with another member but did want you to know that I think that is what I think was the point behind that comment. A simple google of the doctors specialty combined with a glance at cirrhosis would give you great insight into what the questioned doctor does in real life outside of scrutiny by us on ATS

Wow. Who in their right mind would think that's alright to do? - the idea of having someone's initials engraved on my internal organs gets my blood boiling - How about he undergoes some psychological testing now that he is out a job and you know...not carving his initials into peoples livers.

I quite agree with you ... How ever the poster @BADGERPRINTS specifically

mentioned burn scarring and no where did either of us mention cirrhosis.

I do have a liver diseases and have had much explained by specialists ...

I think the pedantic poster who keeps nit picking my posts needs to read more

carefully = putting foot into mouth comes to mind.

As I understand it there has been no mention of a 'donated liver' it was an apparent routine operation, and much has been inferred about a biopsy?

The "branding" was found during a routine follow up operation....the surgeon in question performed the original transplant when the branding was done.

A source close to Mr Bramhall said that he had performed 'hundreds of transplants'.

They added: 'If an organ has been made available by the family of someone who has passed away, the last thing they would want is to find it has been violated.

I come to this from a very different perspective than probably any one on this thread

Here's why ... any donated organ is kept alive and transplanted by medical

professionals where the result is 'life' to another, so in some respects the diseased

person has gone on in a small way, otherwise within a very short time putrefaction

would take place and there is no respect in 'putrefaction' but there is a sense of

'peace' (for the want of a better word) in the sacrifice of an organ for the better

good.

Many years ago, the same month as I had my 21st birthday my two year and

four month daughter, who had a congenital heart disorder died. This is before

1967 when Dr Christian Bernard performed the first heart transplant. Had she

been born some 10/20 years later she may well have been alive today.

When she was dying I wouldn't have cared if the doctor had autographed all her

organs as long as he saved her life ... Indeed I would have done a deal with the

'devil' to save her........

I am not a religious person, but I have said good bye to two daughters, and I

can say that I said good bye to images of them (photographic/wax work)

type of thing, because 'they' were not there at the time their 'essence' was

not there ... they had gone ...

Just how large was this branding on the liver that another surgeon managed to see it in the first place?

No offense but you cant let someone get away with doing evil / wrong things just because they also do good things.

Think of jimmy Savile who raised millions for children while abusing them.

unbelievable
some poor schmuck gets their liver branded and somehow your the victim when someone says its the wrong thing to do

there is no excuse for this surgeons behavior
its a price you may be willing to pay for life saving skills but its not a price that ever should be paid..... completely unnecessary
i am extremely perturbed at the apparent number of people who find this in any way defensible

Couldn't they just ultrasound all those who have had surgery by this guy to see if they were signed too?

Bit sick though, he probably has a human centipede in his basement.

Oh, the horror of it all! I'm sure many are just OUTRAGED! But ask yourself, what real harm did it cause? Really. Did it "damage" the liver, even a little bit? Did it "harm" the patient, even a little bit? Did any medical complications result? Had there not been a subsequent non-related operation, would it ever have been found and noted by anyone? Just a few questions to ask as you go about being shocked and dismayed at the travesty of it all.

I don't think you have any concept of ethics. You are a sad person.

This guy should be fired.

Tell you what, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

From the get go we've seen to have communication problems.

Quirks in personality that just don't match up very well.

No worries. Enjoy the holidays!

While this is disgusting and arrogant, I know of several brands of single-malt scotch that have branded my liver!

Lol. Of course, this highlights why this Surgeon did the wrong thing.

Not being on the scene . . . and not having investigated thoroughly on the scene . . . all our pontifications are just that . . . blathering pontifications.

However, many of our perspectives, imho, have some solid points based on solid foundational values.

Depending on what the "truly truest true facts" are . . . one HOPES that reasonable sanctions/punishment will be levied against any true gross, abusive disrespect of donors and/or recipients of any organs and/or persons.

OTHERWISE, the oligarchy's monster machine and gears will further grind the body politic and masses of individuals deeper into meaningless cogs the the GREAT GLOBALIST MACHINE where individuals are ground to powder as mere serfs and slaves to totally sacrifice all for the GREAT MACHINE and ultimately literally a very literal satan and satan incarnate. No thanks. I refuse to lend a shred of support for that mentality, those values, that kind of authority and tyranny.

I insist on standing tall in behalf of CREATOR GOD'S declaration that we are His handiwork and thereby of infinite value to HIM. Nothing else matters. Nothing else has lasting eternal value, HOPE, LIFE.
