I will be burning a candle
for you & Cody's sister, sending good positive energy your way.

Much appreciated Ektar, she is doing quite well, she's home and I spoke to her yesterday, she sounded exhausted and a bit down. But I can hardly blame her for that, I'm going to call her now and cheer her up a bit, I'll let her know you're lighting a candle for her she'll be over the moon.

I'm glad you finally got the u2u. I wonder if they fixed the issue?
I also burn candles for Dollukka too.

Happy St Paddy's Day to Everyone!

I hope to see everyone in the New Contest!

Cheers

I haven't started yet. I worked so hard on the last contest entries
that I got burnt out at the end after so many hours that I through in
a left over for #3. Since I'm learning it takes me a while to get things done.
Being a perfectionist doesn't help.
I am ready & excited about the new contest.

I might use your idea of changing Avatars with the month or the
seasonal whatever every 3 to 4 months just to keep learning things.
I always learn something in every contest, but this is another way of keeping
up. Maybe those monthly or seasonal changes should include a certain lesson
so I don't get behind on tutorials.
Also some times I wonder when I greet the newbies & tell them about our site
if they might be put off by my AVI (which is awesome to me & personal from BFFT)
because it might be too personal instead of something someone else might want
for themselves?
Sorry NOT trying to sell my AVI short because I LOVE IT BFFT! Only trying to help
promote us.
Wow I just said us...guess I can now finally say that since someone actually
used one of mine...LOL!

Cheers

LOL Ektar

I remember the first time one of mine was picked up, I was moon walking around the lounge with joy !

I always get a smile when I see one I made.

Sure, to the member it's just an avatar usually, but I have the pleasure of knowing how much thought and effort went into it.

Mine was made originally by Humanseh as a joke, I don't think I could change it, add to it yes, but I'm kind of attached to the little fellow.

Changing avatars is fun! And I love your avatar, especially because I know it has personal value to you. I'm assuming it's your dog.

I change avatars because I create a lot of stuff, and I don't want them to go to waste.

I'm a hobby photographer, and since I recently learned photo manipulation I can finally edit photos (some of them over 10 years old).
It's so much fun for me. I'm also getting more into digital art.
I post all my work on DeviantART.

And I agree with Cody, every time I see someone like my art,or wear one of my creations it makes me feel so happy and proud. Even if they only use it for a month.

Cody & Rainbow
Yes exactly! I just happened to see the one I created yesterday
in a forum & it made me feel good knowing that someone actually
used something I made, even though it wasn't the better picture
of the 4, at least he or she was happy enough to want & use it...
that's what matters. Rainbow you have some beautiful pictures!

That is my 13 1/2 year old Border Collie & that photo was at 12.5 yrs
old. It was his last Sheep Herding competition in Louisville KY. He was
one of the top dogs in the country in his day & he was my 1st. I now
have a 3 yr old who is a top dog in the country. I also trained them to be
my service dogs for anxiety. I love my avatar so it would be hard to change.
I use to have a crow for 10.5 yrs & my kennel name (no dogs but my 2) is
Raven Border Collies (hope ok to mention as I don't sell or have a business)
BFFT did a great job! I use the name if I have a litter & I only breed if I need a pup
to train up...so it would be Raven Phaedra & etc...that way people would know
where the dog came from.

The photo manipulation I was unsure of...I wasn't sure if we were to fuse or
make part of their body be part of the picture or just put them in a scene.
That's why I did it both ways. Took forever trying to size up that "minnow leg"
LOL!

I better get busy on the contest so that I have time to learn something new.

Cheers
Ektar

Funny you used that lamb (kicks)...I was going to use something in that
respect to Serta Springs...that mattress company is a huge sponsor for
the US Border Collie Herding Finals which includes all of North America.
I have been lucky that both of my guys have been in the top.

They better be, I gave up my music career for the Blue Boy, LOL!
I will probably be on night shift tomorrow as it's me birthday. I will
celebrate it with grilled lamb, red wine, & with my 2 dogs, cat (dog)
& my parrot.
I will still be burning candles for ALL of us that need them.
I miss Dollukka & hope she & father are well.
Funny how we really don't know each other, but we do to some extent
& we actually care...more so at times than those around us who have no clue.
When someone here is missing it makes a difference...at least to me, I am grateful.

Cheers

RR

I made a sample for a client today in a wood called Ceder of Lebanon

I put bit more love into it thinking it might just be a tree you once saw, had smile on my face the whole time I was making it, just thought you might like to know.

Great minds think alike Ektar, though fools seldom differ

Yeah I miss dolluka as well, I miss all my friends on ATS when they go away for a while, I often refer to ATS as my extended family, and I genuinely feel that way, I have a fair few email addresses and go on skype with some members sometimes.

Beezer and I are hoping to meet for a beer when he brings Beezer's bride over to see where he was born, really looking forward to that if it comes off.

Loved your first entry btw Ektar, you've on in leaps and bounds mate

Hi everyone,

So I uploaded this pic (self portrait) into another thread (member art) and it was suggested I use it for an avatar. Never could figure a background for it so it's kind of unfinished.

Anyone want to give it a go? The only addition I'd like to see is the ATS logo added. Other than that it's open for modifications.

Thanks for your time!

It's that time again folks!

Keeper is in dire need of a new wardrobe, according to some that we don't tread on...

Anywhoo, here's the deal.

First member(s) to make an original tree avatar with the only request being my username cleverly used as part of the imagine in some way, will win a very special prize
.

( It's mostly applause and bragging rights, but I might have something else up ma sleeve)

Thanks very much. Did it back when I was messing with CorelDraw 6 and was pretty much at it's (more likely my) limits of what could be done. Corel didn't seem to handle transparencies or blends very well.

Mostly just use Gimp now but have gotten pretty rusty. Hence my grovelling request for help.

all members making requsts (and mods, too
).

i just want to make sure you know that what you have asked for is being acknowledged by someone on our team here. I will be tied up, personally, through Saturday. However, after Saturday I would be happy to work on these again. Should another member not fit the bill first, that is.

Well that's hardly acceptable.

The men in the van outside will be with you shortly.

Kidding aside, you all do a wonderful job here, I can't imagine anybody being upset about having to wait a little bit, all things considered.

Keep up the excellent work.

All of you!
