Make that English oak from church pews 400 years plus

I'll sharpen my chisels and there is no fee for the work, Just keep him entertained whilst I work, for God's sake keep him entertained

I'll bet he's one of the nicest kids in town, and popular, with a dad like you how could he fail ?

But PLEASE keep him entertained .................. you know .................... just in case.

in all seriousness, i am very proud of him. He knows everyone in town, and gets along very easily (he likes laughing/smiling, not arguing/bickering).

Adults appreciate his mature nature. He likes eye contact and firm handshakes.

But i still melt for his baby face....

That says a lot about him BFFT

But i still melt for his baby face....

When I see my son smile, albeit in photographs only, I melt as well, they tell me he's a real charmer and has an eye for a pretty girl, but they all tell me he respects his girlfriend. And her parents love him too death.

So chip off the old block then

Wow I cannot believe how much I missed since I've been gone & Still trying
to catch up. I am blown away by the IQ people we have here not only on
ATS but the top 1 % plus most here in the Avatar section...I have always admired
the brain people, always...even had them as friends.
I'm sorry I am not one but you knew that from my first post & you still welcomed
& helped me & continue to help me so I am so ever grateful!

Awesome artwork I missed! Damn Dollukka you're such a pro & thanks for showing your
steps on the faerie. Everyone did well, & Funbox you came out of no where & distorted
a fabulous rabbit so fast & Bloody cool!

I was captain or co-captain of every sports team plus the # 1 drummer since I started
all the way through college & ended up pro. What sucked for me was being a drummer
the teachers always called me a dummer & said that I was dumb all the way through
school & I believed them...too bad because I loved math until 10th grade & it all ended
after an extremely abusive Algebra teacher, so bad that a student tossed a molitoff coctail
into her house 2 yrs before I started there & no one liked her. Math & music coincide.

Even though I'm not a brain I did well in Vet Tech med (yrs later returning to school)
was top of the class & gave the grad speech (had to force myself to do it). I am a hands on
person but I had learned how to study for this second round.

Also in music I can understand & play the most complicated rhythms that most drummers
do not understand nor can play...everything is "1" & everything aligns with nature, the earth
& the universe as "1". Every sound or tone has a rhythm so it would be complicated to go into & the
wrong post. Just a perspective from where I am from.

I always wished I was a brain like you guys. Thanks for not dissing me as I know you could
have long ago just from my simple post & language. I am thankful to be here & to learn
as much as possible.

So this doesn't go off the thread here's a simple freebie in regards to the 20 plus inches of
snow I have received since last night. Maybe the total will reach 24" but I hope not! My dogs
haven't been worked in 4 bloody weeks now.
Free to a good home...

Cheers
Ektar

BFFT what an awesome dad!

I love all your new work! I often hate being deprived of a TV but I haven't
had one since ~ 2001. I miss out alot on many things like MARCH MADNESS
I think BFFT would be into...
But I would have loved that prostheses duel...or Dollukka's mask challenge
how fun, entertaining & educational! ALL toward the arts!
I have always been drawn to the arts & want so badly to be an artist
beyond music. I was once many many years ago but lost it. I hope it
can return as it is difficult for me to even come up with any ideas at all
to post here & I need that to change.
You guys have been awesome!

Cheers
Ektar

I thought my brother was the only one that didn't have a TV...well he finally got one but it doesn't work and he really doesn't care, as long as he has his music to listen to.
Besides his work keeps him busy most of the time anyway
Actually my 2 sisters are more of music listeners than TV watchers as well

My husband is the TV fanatic, me after a while of watching, I'd rather my music too

First of all, stop selling yourself short.
You ARE good....repeat....you ARE good!!!

Second, you never forget, kinda like riding a bike, you just need practice but you still know how

I am not near as good as BFFT, Dollukka, Zarni, etc, but I learn from them, as will you.
You, me, RR, can only get better with practice and time

Think positive, no more negative crap and that's an order!!!!! LOL

Seriously, give yourself a chance and don't be so hard on yourself
You still got it

Just curious...
What kind of art did you used to do??
Was it more like painting on canvas or airbrushing?
Or like some of these guys here that use digital art?

Much respect~
snarky

I agree. Ektar has all the talent, and the skill should eventually come. Dolluka likely is the "skilled' person here. I have a few things I can remember how to do. For the most part, its tinkering (and sometimes starting over) to get an effect I can tolerate. Sometimes I luck out and get one I am actually happy with.

Hmmm, now where's the plates so I can pile chocolate up on it?
I guess I could use my shirt like an apron and dump them in there. LOL.

Thanks AB

OMG LOL! & then some more! I haven't done any art. Won a poster contest in 5th grade & when I was in 7th grade I was in
a photography class & had 2 photos submitted to a contest without me knowing & they did well.
They were B & W & I processed them in the darkroom & all but I cannot remember anything
beyond that...then I started drawing in 2001 off & on, but nothing major, only for myself
simple cartoon or tattoo looking (no depth respective, shadow, & no dimension) stuff that only
family members have seen & all alien & space ship stuff... so like I said not a true artist on the
paper or film YET...I still think there is hope...& in the end what matters is if I am happy with
what I produced. There is one I really like as it is ONE but all the parts within are there own picture
...so each part becomes something else & becomes something else & etc but there is one picture...hope that wasmn't confusing, sorry ADHD cutting in but there is an artist I love that does the same.

Thank you for your support & thanks to everyone else as I am happy to be here
& to gain knowledge to increase my abilities.

Cheers
Ektar

Thanks to ALL of you guys & HAPPY VALENTINES!
I was just being honest & open is all...sense you guys don't know me yet
& seeing where you all come from being so intelligent
& quick with the wits! I bloody love it!

Only sharing, it's ALL good!

Cheers

BINGO......Winner, winner, winner!!!

And there is always hope, never give up

Besides, I don't think you'd want a visit from the boys, Cody or BFFT. LOL
But then again, that might be interesting!!!

Also one thing I've learned from my husband [airbrush/brushes] there are many degrees and various interpretations of art
What one may think is ugly, someone else thinks gorgeous and vise versa

He can't do much complicated artwork anymore, his hands won't allow it, but he still does simple airbrush designs ...
Not me mind you, only him.

That's why I have so much fun doing this because I can't draw worth a damn but I sure can fiddle with GIMP!!

and you have gotten quite adept.

I think it was Sloanpainful, or maybe Cubslimesraft that told me that it was most important to have an eye for colors. You absolutely have that, and kind of like the same concept of high contrast that I enjoy.

That I give credit to my honey for that
He is a stickler for the color scheme and cringes when people use colors that clash

There are certain color combinations that just simply do not look right together

Major crisis at work at the moment. I'm hiding in the toilet just so I can
organise my thoughts in peace

I have an idea and will post a base image when I get time, if I get time later

I'll get back to you later

Thanks man
