These 4 are up for grabs. I got inspired by the 4 elements.

Earth

Hello

Could I have these two? They are very pretty and I really like them

-nat

Sure thing, they are yours. Wear them with good health

You're welcome

I guess I'm alone on the night shift lol.

How are you cropping out your images? Have you found the wand tool yet? If so....i can help you smooth off those edges. Once you use the wand tool to select what you like, you can go to "Select", then choose "Refine edge". There are a few settings in there that will help you:

Radius: will round corners off a bit
Contrast: will sharpen edges up a lot. You can also slightly smooth them with these two

Smooth: knocks down stray pixels
Feather: will give a faded, feathered look

I can't recall the other one, but it basically lets you move the selected edge in/out up to 50 pixels. If i use smooth, i usually "grow" the image a few pixels (as an example).

Thanks BFFT,
I should have used the magic wand-couldn't find it-, so I did it by hand. (My husband and I had such a laugh over me and my chipped cup, I had to post it.)

Now I found the magic wand, thanks again for the tip.

Have some chip free coffee while I work on my PS skills lol

If you want to move to the "master" level, learn how to use the pen tool. I still haven't figured it out.

This was the chipped cup from page 4.

BFFT if I may say so , you are an excellent teacher. I truly appreciate your kind help.
(I teach elementary kids English so learning how to do this is great for work too.)
I can't believe I actually managed to fix a cup with Photoshop!
Thanks again.

Wow Cody thanks for giving me a seat & to you Snarkey for including
me in with you guys. I haven't forgotten about me new friends here.
I had a few set backs this week & spent a few hours today watching
GIMP tutorials on layers.
It's a little over whelming & some of the explanations were a bit
much then the brain overloads. I was able to do the Cheese Burger exercise.
That was a nice easy way to start, too bad I didn't find that exercise
until this evening but at least I got me toes wet, LOL!

Cheers

I still use gimp for the odd effect, but only if I'm in a rush

In the old thread, Dutcheagle had some really good stuff to share. If you look for a post by him, you can then do the "Posts in thread" selection and find it. A massive brushset, preset styles, etc, etc

In my avatar, the background behind the gorilla....thats just a gradient applied to the background layer. The use of light/dark in the gradient helps define depth. I learned that by studying the preset gradients in the "Kevin_Styles" share that Dutcheagle did.

ETA: in truth, the background is a gradient with some smoke effect blended in using, if i recall, dodge blending.

Thanks BFFT

I'm having so much fun discovering photoshop. I haven't even used all the brushes available or the layer styles yet. Let alone the myriad of other options I'm playing with.

Best Christmas present ever

This adorable cutie pie is up for grabs.
Just looks so cuddly and fluffy.

So, I'm building my own time tunnel...

It's still a work in progress, I'm just playing around a little.

I have him on my notebook as wallpaper. I've had this picture for years, I always wonder what it was thinking at the time the photo was taken. Its eyes look so deep.

If you want it, it's yours Cody.

Much appreciated

I'm too attached to my biker to let him go, it's a personal thing.

I only change him for this occasionally

In the event of a birth or death on ATS

But damn he's cute

Couldn't resist it

Let's see if anyone notices

I understand.
I always make sure I have a brown/dark haired female representing me.

PS: It does look sooooo cute, I hope he ( I feel like it's a he) finds a good home soon.

Nice look Cody.

Boy, if BFFT could see you now.
