Feeling for you!

My wife had/has L4 - L5 bone to bone - disc shot ( wheelchair on a cruise! )

Went to an excellent Osteopath - she is now back in the swing of things ! ( not without some residual pain ) but off the strong meds and back at work. That was not an expected outcome !

If you have not yet tried this course of therapy - go for it! ( not to be confused with chiropractics though ! )

Hope you can get it sorted ...

Ed; So far so good as far as avoiding fusion goes - worth a consultation at least - just take along your MRI scan ...

i get sciatica from time to time. i was a powerlifter when I was younger, along with some football injuries. Its not as bad as it was when i was heavier. But it can make it incredibly painful getting back and forth to work.

Thanks everyone! I am not having surgery yet.
It has been highly recommended several times,
however the 1st neurosurgeon didn't think I had
a problem, he sent me to the pain center & the
doctor there disagreed. This was my 2nd round
of injections & did not reschedule me because I
need surgery.

I have to be approved & since that 1st guy said no,
I have to see if I can get 2nd opinion. I think they
want to fuse that area...I need to study my opts
ahead of time so I know what they are.
I am not in bad pain at the moment, the nerve compression
causes major discomfort, numbness in feet, left sciatic issues
& other numbness & pain...usually stays at a 4 to 5 out of 10
& don't take pain meds...neurotin, celebrex, & flexeril (at night).

If sciatic episode the the big guns come out.

Cheers
Ektar

That sounds painful bro, they say if the pain reaches below the knee you're in trouble. Luckily for me it's only about half the way there.

Trust me weight is not an issue here LOL.

OK as promised. I couldn't get the burning union jack in there though....
(j/k Codes....

Been one hell of a day, everyone and everything is home safe. It hit from behind at 110km/h, hard enough to break the radiator at the front. I'd call that a fair old impact....

Reckon I might go lay down for a bit....

Hello Everyone
My first week back to work was too hectic!
Today is the first day where I don't have to do any work, and can just relax.
Fall is coming, so I thought I'd create a nice Fall themed avatar up for grabs.

And yes, those are fairy lights. lol

Here is the original:

Let me quickly read back a few pages, see what I've missed.
Have a great Saturday guys!
