well...today is "check run" day. Ill spend the next 6 hours doing that, and will hope that I don't get a papercut. Lucky i don't have to lick stamps/envelopes. Since the glue has carbohydrates, I get away with having peel and stick.

Paper cut 'Ouch'

I got a lovely gash on my head today from a falling piece of metal, out cold for a few seconds and lots of claret.

Back on topic, I'm intrigued what DTOM has up her sleeve, I've feeling it will be fun.

I was born about as far away from Scotland as possible and still be in Britain

I'm Cornish by birthright with a second generation Irish father from Cork, but Celt all the way

Tartan is a Celtic thing not just the Scots, we have our clan tartan, ( a bit naff but ours none the less) and somewhere in the past an ancestor pleased someone enough to allow my family a coat of arms


I thought BFFT looked rather fetching in the weekend number

Should I make it AV size ? ............. You know.............. Just in case !

we will do a "dress me up for a week" in another month or so. I have a mardi gras avi that i am going to put on after the 14th, and a week or two after we can start on finding ways to humiliate me in our own unique fashion.

The subject would be

FIRST CONTACT!

But lets not limit ourselves.

It could be first contact with Aliens or first contact between a Virus and a white blood cell or a mother and new born child, or a caterpillar and a butterfly.

Aliens is still good too!

I have often pondered whether or not that is bad form!

I was thinking very deeply ............ what if .............. we did something truly difficult ............... I mean .............. really hard ........ that went on for two whole months .......... would the world as we know it ........... end?

The topic as I mentioned, first contact, not limited, and it starts in .......... wait for it ............ short stories!

Then all of our talented members ........ read the short stories ............ and create avatars for the stories ..........

Yes, I love it, which is how I obtained my writer status.

We could have a fun try out to iron out the bugs .... just for fun.

Take this story Pure Love! [Nov2013] which is the one that gave me writer status so it is an old one.

Members here can read the story and create an Avatar. Place the Avatar in the story thread linked above.

The scoring for the short story would not be affected. We score the Avatars as we usually do and have a winner for each story.

Lots of winners which is appreciated.

Cross forums, great advertising for both forums. ........ what's not to like.

More than happy to help out counting stars and such like.

Easter break is coming up, I thought first 4 weeks for the stories plus an additional two weeks for the Avatars, then, scoring and winners.

Merging two creative forums into a contest...The stories will come to life with a graphic to represent them...

The stories would also be a wonderful source of inspiration for the graphic artists. This sounds exciting.
