Thats why everybody says : get out, get some fresh air... " to fill up your batteries"... The sounds of air, sea, animals, trees, everything in nature, is 432 sounds.

Not at all. These sounds are not tuned to a scale. Some of them don't even have definite tone (surf, wind, tree leaves) and are white or pink noise. Not even all musical scales are the same, there are scales with more or less than eight tones.

Internet connection, video games that I play also, "terrorism", etc, keeps us inside and by at least 90% - 99%, we live with 440Hz sounds.

Have you ever considered that?

Have you ever considered that when discussing tuning an instrument "tuned to 440" that the instrument itself is not what resonates at 440 but only the A above middle C? Music today doesnt have the behavioral affects you are attributing to the standardization of instrument making. On my bass there are 7 notes from A to G plus sharps and flats(semi tones). I can choose to write or compose using a variety of notes modes and scales from major to jazz to mixolydian to eastern. The only way that playing music on an instrument with A tuned to 440 is going to cause behavioral issues is if, and that's taking a leap in logic and assuming the phenomena is real, if the only note being played is the octave of A that is at 440 hz. The only other way I personally have seen behavioral changes due to music is when combining alcohol with a hack musician who irritates his audience to the point that a drunkard throws something at them. You are not living a life surrounded by the barely audible hum of 440 hz wreaking havoc on the wiring of your brain unless you're wearing headphones emitting a steady pitch in the key of A resonating at 440.

I think Tool may play at 432... Something about their notes just can touch my entire soul.

Tool plays in a variety of turnings, none of them "standard" or at 440. They tune a little lower than 432 on most songs and there are a couple of slightly unusual turnings they use. For example on '46 and 2' the bass is tuned in octaves D A D A so that the low E is dropped down a step to D and the high G is tuned a step higher to A. It's a cool little trick that I use once in a while on my bass because it gives you access to a lower octave and simultaneously giving you A slightly higher range as well and makes playing chords on the two higher strings really interesting due to the tonal differences.

Apparently the op doesn't realize that A regardless if it's 432Hz or 440Hz is just one note not an entire work of music. As someone else said, if the earth was resonating 432Hz we would hear a constant tone all the time.

As a true ATS'r I just have to say it: Some of us do.

So in other words, the Nazi's had absolutely nothing to do with it? I thought so. I also think the rest of what the OP said is bunk. 432hz might sound better, won't argue with that as I like my music loud. But all the other stuff just sounds like nonsense to me.

If you are sensitive, like me, you may be able to hear what I hear in this video.

The implications of this could be really huge..

www.youtube.com...

I was showing this video to my Mum, and I couldn't really talk to her because I felt it was really loud in the room. Like really loud. That's when I realised it was at a concert, that's exactly what it felt like. The sound was captured during the concert, and you can totally tell.

www.youtube.com...

In this video, you can tell they are in an Orchestra and they are being very silent, and concentrating, playing from their minds, playing a specific system or structure.

www.youtube.com...

On the complete opposite end of the scale, you can tell this piece was completely done from what they were feeling about the piece, you can see the difference.

www.youtube.com...

This is an extra one, which I'm not sure if many people will 'get'. But you can tell his rhythm and style is guided by his intelligence, relating to the mind instead of telling a story, or playing with emotion. You can hear it sounds nice, and he's really proficient at it. Just like playing a video game, or knowing all your times tables. Sounds nice, but doesn't mean much. Again, not sure if many people will pick this up.

So the question I ask is, and it sounds crazy, what if you applied this tuning to videos or recordings of stuff like the moon landing, to hear whats really going on when they recorded it? Could be true!

Does anybody know if pitch can be changed to 432 in Logic or Garageband?

Yes, in multiple ways depending on your sound source (Audio, Softsampler with instrument loaded, or a softsynth or hardware synth), all are tunable within the various options/menus for that thing.

It would help to know the tuning of the sound/music you were altering too, so you can do the math and tune it to A=432. Dont assume that because this guy says so, all music is A=440 (its not.

Also if you use Logic, why bother with Garageband ?
edit on 4-1-2014 by Tidnabnilims because: Even the raw sequenced MIDI can be transposed which is a very coarse 'tuning' if you like, effectiveness would depend on what sequencer you use

OT -: Bunkum mate, 432Hz is a very audible frequency, if it was the 'sound of the universe' you would hear it everywhere all the time, its also a very muddy frequency and clashes with a great deal of other sound in the world, it would be like having a pan on your head that just keeps resonating, awful theory.

PS -: As many people have said music is tuned very differently across bands, individuals and the world in general, kinda puts the nails in the 'global music conspiracy to make us crazy' thing.

edit on 4-1-2014 by Tidnabnilims because: HINT - : If you dont like crap music, dont listen to it, its in your power !!

Also the digital cant be analog accurate thing, it can be extremely accurate (192kHz, 32bit float) and beyond the scope of human hearing to determine differences.

Stop listening to overcompressed mp3s, and please stop posting heavily compressed and artifacted videos from freaking Youtube for sound comparison, its pointless, they are so far removed from the source by the Youtube process as to be worthless.

I found a very interesting article and I decided to create a topic about it, also give you some alternatives be able to transform all your mp3 into a more balanced pitch. (I search on google for ATS topics about 432 sound pitch, there are some, but I didnt found the specific theme of topic, to add informations inside, or avoid creating this topic).

The sounds of earth, planets, universe emitting at 432Hz, Pithagoras spoke about it. But when the so called " aryan " race as Nazis took over at 1940s, they changed the pitch in the music industry, from 432 to 440.
Doctors and specialists, after making some experiments, found that the pitch at 440, makes humans, less humans... inhumane in 1 word. More materialists, less carrying, less balanced.

So all our digital players, electronic devices at date, transmit sound at 440 sound pitch.
And there is a couple of players that can transform your mp3, into a 432 pitch of sound (don't expect 100% accuracy, because they are all converted into a 440 as a default). But its the nearest you can have at date.

I will give you a couple of links, what to download, the plug-in you must also install in your player and the configurations you have to make into it, after. You can hear the difference of the sound quality, when you try it, with classic music, its much much more...
enjoy.

The player (is the best player for 432Hz pitch) : www.foobar2000.org...
The plugin : www.softpedia.com...

With all due respect, what the heck are you on about?

Please.... if you are gonna talk technical science, then at least have the common courtesy of providing proof. I mean isnt that what science is all about, proof?

Otherwise, its nothing but philosophy IMHO!
