I would like to know why you think a gas giant would be used for solar travel?

That is also leaving out the question of having to deal with the planet itself upon entering/leaving the worm hole. Doesnt seem to figure out logically for me. Please feel free to explain.

Nobody made a Uranus joke? This place is gettin' all fancybritches.

The photographs are beautiful and fascinating and mysterious. Pretty sure a wormhole wouldn't look like much of anything, but space is great. I love how much we still have to learn.

Find me the worm and I'll consider it.

And if you are looking in the bottom of a mezcal bottle, then NO.

It'd be a different sort of storm coming from uranus.

Talk about a wormhole.

Seems to me some advanced technology race might use gas giants gravity to travel from one solar system to the next. Is Saturn possibly being used this way? Take a look at this link. This is what one of the poles of Saturn looks like. Sure looks like a portal or wormhole to me!

Guessing its the south pole. As for the wormhole theory, who knows, it probably is a portal somewhere. Most certainly to death if not anywhere else

Saturn Wormhole

Your statements, no.

Your picture, possibly. That either looks like a wormhole or semi to condense, or perhaps compressed dark matter we thought our telescopes couldn't pick up before.

Or it is that ol' Donald Rumsfeld line:

LOL! Always a good one.

Kinda looks like a multi-colored condom viewed from the top to me.

Hmmm... You could hand them out as party favors at your next hootenanny.

if that's a wormhole, then I'm pretty sure I've got one in my bathroom....

I think it may be "spooky action" with a particle from the Uranus wormhole!

*bad-um-ching!*
lmao

The is the star travel premise from an SF novel whose name escapes me. The goodies escape from the baddies by driving their spaceship to the centre of a gas giant where everything around the ship is equalised and so they can create some dimensional jiggery-pokery and leggit to freedom. I'm surprised that someone hasn't started a thread about using mobius coils to move between different realities (The Other Side Of Time by Keith Laumer...damn good novel)

A Wormhole is to date, a purely mathematical concept. (hypothetical topological feature of spacetime)
As there are relatively few solutions for a traversable wormhole,
I am almost certain Saturn can be proven mathematically, not to be a wormhole( as defined by Einstein and Rosen)
I personally don't know the math however, so I won't try to debunk the OP on my own accord.

Humorous breaks downs of the literal meaning of, worm and hole, however, allow us to discard sensibility, so, hell yea, that thing could be a wormhole or whatever.

SO...if some advanced race used the gravity of giant planets to form worm holes to travel through then what do you think it would look like on said planet? Could it possibly look like Saturn's pole? I say yes, yes it could.

All of materials available around and in a gas giant and their associated icy moons might make a useful resupply/refuel point for traveling spacecraft. It probably wouldn't be too far off to think of them as the oil fields of a solar system
