A remastered short clip of the Apollo 16 rover. So amazing a quality, you could almost be there. I hope more old space film will be done like this!

This video gives a good sense of how desolate and barren being on the moon would be. Absolutely nothing except rocks, dust, and darkness.

I would like to see a moon rover with a hd camera and constant streaming to get a real feel of what the moon is like.

Nice find, OP ... must have been shot in a very large, dome-shaped studio here on Earth!

OK, just kiddin' I guess - don't want to derail this thread and kickstart another moon-landing-hoax-discussion. Nice remastering, amazing quality ... indeed!

Just makes me think that those astronauts were complete maniacs. Look at how fast they're driving over rocky terrain that could sink them at any moment.

Absolutely nuts.

I do have a quick question, being no space expert or lighting expert, can anyone tell me what the sudden light source is or where it comes from at 1 min 20 seconds into the video.
the way it enters and exits the video quickly seems a little odd from a no knowledge point of view.

thankyou

More evidence that it never took place. If you play the video slightly faster, it just looks like a 4 wheeler driving around in the desert. The gravity is identical as Earth's, the motion is just slowed down slightly. I call BS.

Yes I can tell you exactly where it's coming from. The boom stand with the light on it that the stage hand is holding. Duh

Yeah, because they weren't on the moon genius. If they were they probably wouldn't be driving around like they're playing GTA.

It's been queried before. The wheels are open mesh, AKA see through, any material simply falls to the ground, and covers the tracks.

That's probably the 'Blackbird' doing a flypast.

I feel like the dust should stay in the air a little longer with the reduced gravity. It does seem kind of fake now that it's stabilized. Is this video playing at normal speed or is it sped up?

Nope.

If you play the video slightly faster,

Why would you want to manipulate it to suit your personal belief?

it just looks like a 4 wheeler driving around in the desert.

It's a 4 wheel vehicle driving around on the moon, which is pretty dry.

The gravity is identical as Earth's,

No it isn't.

the motion is just slowed down slightly.

No it isn't.

I call BS.

You can call it what you like, but if you analyse the rooster tails thrown up by the rover (max speed 8mph) they are entirely consistent with 1/6 gravity and no atmosphere.
