another 4.9 hit: emsc- reduced to 4.8

usgs says 5.1

and they have them in different locations-

so now we wait an hour to see what IMO says, and where.

emsc said 2 km depth, usgs says 7.5 km depth

*sigh*

EDIT:
IMO says 5.1 at 5.2 km depth, and in yet still another location, I think at the bardabunga caldera crater again. That thing is subsiding it appears.

Still a bit of a fountain going on.

This from the Bardarbunga 2 cam.

The Askja drumplot is showing a bit stronger activity, at the moment.
Drumplots nearest the Vatnajokull.
Drumplots nearest "cardboard" aka Askja.

great photos!
most of it doesn't make sense on Gooogle Translate either.
But some excerpts from the other photos

"The flow of volcanic lava in the hole is almost a thousand cubic meters per second, said Magnus Tumi Gudmundsson, a professor of geophysics. "So this is a significant eruption." He does not see that anything has slowed since the eruption this morning. Three times more lava flows than the Eyjafjallajökull eruption "

www.ruv.is...

and

The eruption started just before six o'clock in the morning. This is the third eruption Bárðarbunga region in just over a week. according Ármanns Hoskuldson volcano chemist who examined the eruption site, up close this morning. He says that the highest hraunstrókarnir are up to 50-60 m high, the southernmost of the crack, but much lower in the north. According Almannvörnum smears are significantly lower than the 2010 eruption of Fimmvörduháls.

South end of the crack is in the same location and Friday eve, about four miles from the tail Dyngjujökuls. According Ármanns covers cracks 1500-1800 meters in the north. Northernmost part of, 500-600 meters, in an area that has not erupted in the past. This is the third eruption of Bárðarbunga region in just over a week. On Saturday, August 23 eruption under a glacier on the slopes Bárðarbunga, the eruption was short-lived and did not melt through thick ice. A few days later were sigkatlar eruption, reflecting the eruption. Friday eve was a small eruption of lava blowout north of Vatnajökull, which lasted for 3-4 hours. The eruption on the slopes Bárðarbunga is believed to have been about ten times larger than the eruption of lava pocket.

There is increasing risk of Bárðarbunga volcano eruption now, after 5.1 magnitude quake. The reason behind less earthquakes today is the weather: weaker quakes get masked by very strong winds, 25 m/s to 30 m/s. The weather is rather stormy now, and webcams show only black (at least for me). There is new swarm of quakes in Askja fissure swarm. This is going to be very long-time event.

The swarm is moving towards dormant volcano Herðubreið, it hasn't erupted during the holocene, but there has been some quake swarms inside it. Its one of most beautiful volcanoes in the world, rare case of volcano called Tuya. There has been also reports of strange noises from the volcano in August 6th 2014, reason behind the sounds is unknown. The noise is rumbling sound.
