A nephew of late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat left for Paris on Friday to obtain a copy of his uncle's medical file, a Palestinian
official said.
The file details Mr Arafat's illness and cause of death.
"Nasser Al Qidwa left Gaza City for Paris where he will obtain the official and confidential medical report on the death of Yasser Arafat," the
unnamed Palestinian official told AFP.
Under French law, the family may decide to make the files public.

I wonder if the family will make Arafat' medical history public?.

Excellent! Someone other than Arafat's 'wife' will have
the information. Only thing ... can the nephew be trusted
to tell the truth about what Arafat died of? He's the
Palestinian Ambassador to the U.N. (does any other
non-country have an ambassador to the U.N.?? - And no
one say the Vatican, because that IS a country).
I hope this fellow will tell the truth and make the records
public. Normally I would push for the family to have the
privacy they deserve, but because Arafat caused so much
havoc ... and those that follow him want to cause more
trouble ... the records need to be FULLY made public.
That includes his lifestyle because if he died of AIDS like
is commonly believed, the Palestinians won't believe it.
They'll think he was injected with it or whatever. His
lifestyle habits will have to be acknowledged by the P.A.

Did anyone notice his appearance when he left for hospital in France? He was almost bright red.
A sure sign of a systemic blood disorder. Could be have been renal problems. Could have been aids.
Who knows

Yep .... I'm sure it was old age (with some AIDS thrown in?)
... aggravated by the fact that he didn't eat right, didn't
go to the dentist or doctor, that he lived a stressful life,
that he had a putrid lifestyle that included unprotected
gay sex... Hey .. the guy was in his 70's and he lived
stressed out and disgustingly.
He just died. It happens.

Man I can't believe he was gay. On top of the murders. On top of the lies. On top of stealing. On top of it all you had to have sex with men then
die of AIDS.
What a slap in the face to the palestinians who have the highest birthrate in the world which I think was engineered by Arafat in order to get a
Muslim majority in Israel. Was he helping get that majority? NO! He was having sex, but not with women.

It wont be made public, they will say the same thing that the French released, liver disease, something I still find very hard to believe. He could
however sell it to the tabloids for millions!

Arafat widow given medical file
Palestinian officials asked for the files amid rumours over how he died. France's privacy laws have prevented the cause of death being made
public.
Earlier, a senior Palestinian said he expected Arafat's nephew, Nasser al-Kidwa, to pick up the report from the French authorities.
But a lawyer for Mrs Arafat said she received the document at 1545 (1445 GMT) on Friday.

The fact that Suha Arafat lives in France means she now has the right under French law to
never disclose anything to anyone.

Now that the wife has the files, I dont think we will ever find out what happened to him. I guess we just need to be thankful that the godfather of
terrorism is dead. It is a shame that so many people saw him as a beacon of hope.
