correction. According to google earth...it's either latvia, Luthuania or Estonia.

The effect on the ground of the explosion places it about there (Latvia, Luthuania or Estonia), but I feel the mushroom cloud itself is a bit further away on the horizon. Maybe not quite as far as Norway, but getting up there.

Staafke Nice of you to bring this thread from godlikeproductions to ATS

I don't visit that tripe.

I first heard about this from a link on a Facebook page I like called Illuminati Exposed Media. Then Google imaged; 'China's Moon Landing Launch' and some other variations of searches to confirm there were other sources with this image and posted it here.

I don't even understand why you would finish your whole post with that comment.

Also, whether or not the depiction is "out of place", the launch of a rocket doesn't cause a Mushroom Cloud reaching into the atmosphere.

Perhaps it is the rocket launch smoke from the Chinese launch site that launched it?

Nah to easy :p

Sometimes I think these things happen purely for the internet's benefit.

Interesting though.

personally I think even www.snoron.com... mislabled this image in their stock photo library, same as everyone else on this thread.

IMO, I think the mushroom cloud is supposed to be the moon, the lighting is all art, and probably just came out looking like a mushroom cloud.

But if I had to guess, I would say it's supposed to be the moon.

ETA: Kind of like this one

The file name is "nuclear_explosion_on_earth_from_space-wide.jpg"

ETA: Never mind... I see you were saying they mislabeled.

I wonder.

I can name a .jpg file "my_hairy_arse.jpg" still doesn't make it a photo of my hairy arse. And furthermore you have no idea who labeled this image, I honestly doubts after making its rounds through several "wallpaper" websites (yes there is more out there than just the one presented) that the original file name is in tact.

But your right, it says it's a nuclear explosion, so it must be

ETA: Thanks for seeing my point, didn't mean to be so brash towards a thinker

here's a few links for the image just labeled as outerspace earth. No explosion.

This image sure has a lot of empty space around that earth, maybe the artist forgot about the moon, maybe the artist was trying to be scientifically sound and ran out of canvas, or maybe the moon is just coming up over the horizon. Or maybe the chinese are being all like "Hey, don't @#$@! with us or we'll blow your arse to kingdom come"

It looks like a nuclear explosion on Pangea. I am going to interpret this to mean the Chinese have launched a shuttle that can travel back in time and drop a nuclear bomb on our ancestors.

Looks like Moscow to me. Earth is rotated 45 degrees.. when I look on a map, it looks like Russia should take cover.

Mystery Solved

n4u2k.deviantart.com...

Looks like it IS indeed a nuclear mushroom cloud, so I digress.

However, from the artists mouth, the area targeted, was the middle east (maybe he needs a geography lesson)

Well, he also put stars in front of the Earth, so... we'll call it a conceptual piece.
