It's pretty creepy that Obama was so smugly certain that he would get elected a second term, isn't it? I personally suspect that our elections are pretty much pre-determined at that level....

The election was not predetermined. The Tea Party types, Ron Paulites, and Libertarians were USED to split the Fiscal Conservative vote, ensuring another Obama victory.

To this day, the Paulites (& other TP's) will not admit they were played; they refuse to see it. Plain as day. Divide & conquer.

US Presidential elections have always been about choosing between "Bad" & "Worse."

Those Conservative idiots who refused to vote for RINO Romney let "Worse" win. They gave Obama another 4 years to wreak havoc on the US.

None are so blind as those who refuse to see.

Which is why if the Conservatives refuse to come together to support the Republican candidate, the Dem candidate (probably Hillary) is guaranteed to win in 2016.
They will turn the US into Detroit.

Yeah, Pelosi, Reid, Obama -- that whole rotten-to-the-core crew -- makes me want to hurl.

See, what we seem to have here is something akin to an abusive relationship between the government and the people that is resulting in Stockholm Syndrome.

Wow. Excellent point, Darkbake. That's EXACTLY what it is. Stockholm Syndrome. We kiss the boot that's stomping on our neck. Americans as a whole have become sniveling captives. I mean, there have always been apologists for the crimes our government commits, but this is at a level which is shocking.

Do you not see that you are being played yourself, forced to vote within the two party system? The excuse about "splitting votes" always cracks me up.

And, do you think that Mitt Romney, who had his own version of Obamacare in Massachusetts, would have been better?

Seems to me that we are presented with two choices, and BOTH OF THEM are predetermined to do the same garbage, just under a different party. Abortion, gay rights, immigration.....those are red herrings, designed to make people think there's a big difference between democrats and republicans.

Feel free to continue to play along with the "divide and conquer" rhetoric. At least that part about being an American is still free.

I tried to embrace the suck since megalomaniac Pelosi said it's what we should do.

Nope, it didn't work. I'd rather embrace my Mossberg. It gives me more comfort and a sense of security, than embracing the the suck.

I'm enjoying following this thread, Fission....

I love it! "Embrace the Mossberg". LOL. Yup. A lot of people are embracing their guns right now, which I'm sure the feds are well aware of.....Hence they're allowing the militarization of local law enforcement agencies. We're being asking to embrace the crazy now too.

Yes, RINO Romney would have been better than Obama. Almost anyone would have been better than Obama.

All the Elite PTB are NOT on the same page. The faction supporting Romney are trying to maintain US hegemony, they're business friendly. The faction supporting Obama are socialistic Internationalists -- like Soros who wants an open border with Mexico and the legalization of ALL currently illegal drugs.

As flawed as Romneycare is in MA, it cannot be compared with Obamacare. The bad website is just the tip of the iceberg. We haven't seen the full horror that is Obamacare yet.

In the next two years it should become abundantly clear that Obamacare is NOT about improving our healthcare. It's about a massive expansion of Federal power and a tax hike. They don't care about our healthcare.

Obamacare will help destroy the US medical industry -- it will shut down hospitals & drive doctors out of business. What good will it do to sign up for Obamacare, when you can't access a doctor? However, the Feds will have your medical history -- the medical histories of almost all their citizens. Yeah, that should give us warm fuzzies.

As for voting for someone who canNOT possibly win, go ahead with exercising your right and letting "Worse" win.

Who is naive here? Do you really think the PTB will ever allow an independent candidate anywhere near the WH?
If a 3rd Party presidential candidate ever wins, you can bet he's been co-opted by some faction of the Elites.

LOL....After 8 years of Bush, I voted for Obama, saying, "Anybody would be better than Bush".

Won't be fooled again. The game is rigged. But you keep telling yourself that it isn't, and keep perpetuating this two party political theater in which this country is trapped. If you want to keep playing in a rigged casino, imagining that you have a chance to win "next time", that is your right. But don't get mad at me for finally waking up and walking out.

Things are rough for a lot of people. Not according to the main stream media, of course. According to those sock puppets, we're in a "recovery" and there are more jobs than ever. However, if you do wake up and realize just how dire things are, yeah....embrace it and accept it, no matter how sucky it is.

Or not. I choose not.

Isn't she great? NOT. This is the same empty headed fruit loop who said that we needed to pass the healthcare bill to find out what was in it.

You must understand that to the munchkins from Oz, (aka our politicians) a good bill is like a good birthday present. Whatever is in it is a surprise! And it's going to be awesome! Too bad that Nancy Pelosi is actually the wicked witch of the west... But this is seriously the mindset of the moron citizens of the US. Nobody bothers to read contracts or look at the fine print, paying no heed to potential future consequences of their decisions.

FissionSurplus
...I found out that, while they passed the budget bill and cut off extended unemployment benefits for people, they found plenty of money to give an extra $173 million to Israel for them to update their missile defense system, plus the $3.1 BILLION that we promised them.
We have nothing for our own, but a crap ton for a tiny sliver of warmongering sand somewhere far away.

Ah. Aha. You've hit it, but narrowed too far on to Israel. That s just a tiny fraction of the BILLIONS we give in foreign aid every year, while we can't seem to pay our bills and lower our debt, or even figure out how to get people off of governmental entitlement programs. The best part is the citizenry here have virtually no say in how our tax dollars are spent. I can't wait until the UN resolution kicks in and I pay for people to have forced abortions and euthanasia and such. Yippee hooray!

Good post, JackSparrow. I do understand that Israel is but a tiny fraction of the expenditures in our screwed-up budget. I used that as an example of how we don't seem to have money for our own people, but plenty for everybody else in other countries.

Makes you wonder exactly who our senators and representatives work for, because it sure as hell isn't us.
