How do you cope with the stresses of life???? What do you do to cope with them? I find getting wasted helps.

Also I like quotes. Like I heard a quote just the other day. It goes:

"if you got a problem that can be solved by man, then you don't got no problem at all!"

I love that quote. Because it's so true. I don't know why I didn't go to my gf's place tonight. I must be nuts. So what, I get to party with you guys ha ha aahhhhhh

[snip] Try not to take life too seriously. While your still breathing there's more right with you than wrong with you.

Booze is how you do it!
But, you know what they say, alcohol can't solve all of your problems...Just most of them.

Honestly I think keeping yourself occupied is the best way to do it, by doing something interesting and or/relaxing. Even if it's just reading about something interesting. Doesn't have to be a big deal, the small things in life make the most impact.

I sometimes have a couple of liberal measures of whisky, but that's a rarity as I generally dislike alcohol (or it dislikes me).

Usually, I take two co-dydramol tablets (the dihydrocodeine soothes me) and listen to some ASMR.

And if you don't know what that is, google it.

It's good.

Yep. Alcohol does wonders for me.

Then there's other little things that help. For example....

And...

Long story short (less than 7 seconds in those videos), sometimes little things can brighten up my entire day.

ETA - I have been drinking so....

Currently drinking Talisker 10yo after a rather average day, 45.8% alcohol it seems. [snip] Also meditation to just the basics of life like breathing.

It's all good though.

A lot of advice here, some of it good, some of it great.
Me, I walk the dogs.
Yep, my dogs all are the best psychologists I have ever used.
Dog therapy, now go rescue one and realize you were the one who was rescued.

The answer my friend, is wine.
Gentle, sophisticated, slow release, tasty.
and since you like quotes, here is on from the always great Tom Waits, on drinking:
"don't you know there ain't no devil there's just God when he's drunk!"

Nature is a great thing for clearing the mind of unnecessary stress, a brisk walk, some beautiful scenery, fresh air, sunshine, breezes.

Being with people you love that make you happy, laughing, making love (not random sex, love sex) are all good ways of reconnecting to that which is important.

I also find creativity, art, music, writing are good ways of relieving stress.

Watching a decent movie, decent TV, is often refreshing.

Exercise can be destressing.

Making sure the right combination of vitamins and healthy food is better for the emotions.

Reading inspirational words is good for the mind.

An occasional glass of decent wine.

When I worked in mental health a good tip that a support worker told one of our service users is only worry about what is in front of you and what is actually happening or happening now.
Worry about one thing at a time, never worry about what may happen down the line because it may not actually happen and If it does happen worry about it then.
I have started doing this and Iam much less stressed in my life.
Oh and agreed booze n stuff

So many ways to describe it, but it's always the same thing.

Being in the moment. It is all that matters. Right now.

Ahh new age hippy mumbo jumbo

Works tho! it stopped me drinking too.

*breaks the machine*

Ahem, excuse me.

*grabs spanner and decants out of the thread*

I should start running again. I use to be able to run like 5km straight. I haven't done that in a long time. Now probably a block or 2.

Funny thing.... I just read about this guy who ran 100 marathons, 1 each day for 100 days. Plus did a seminar lecture to a group of people each morning before he started his run. Can you image? It's insane! And the guy wasn't even a runner. He was mr joe blow off the street.
