And how big was the comet? spread that out 40 million miles and you get a lot of dust. If it does pass in earths path we will get some nice shooting stars, that is all.

It's really not much to worry about. The pieces will burn up in the atmosphere. And comet Lovejoy is way past Earth.

If this "fanning" out is true, then there are some people who need to own up to their comments on a thread over a month ago, with these people stating rigidly that any part of ISON would not deviate from the exact trajectory that was plotted...

Many meteor showers are due to the remains of comets. Nothing new except in the eyes of doomers, maybe.

It's really not much to worry about. The pieces will burn up in the atmosphere. .

The pieces as big as large ships will not break up in the atmosphere.....Think about IT > >>>>> Why has NASA been lying and down playing ISON..It is much Larger than 3 kilometers or whatever lie NASA has beep putting out.
