I personally wouldn't look too much into this, myself. It's quite easy to construe a darker, deeper meaning behind this patch design given the agency it's attached to, but it could have also been designed lightheartedly by some individuals within. A tongue-in-cheek lampoon in order to get some chuckles, if you will.

Non-official mission insignia/patches follow a sort of oddball internal logic that people outside the community or military seem to find confusing.

You can't put something that blatantly blows the project or fingers anyone on the project, but you have to push the boundaries of "I can't believe they put that on there" and it has to be immediately interpretable by people on the project or something related. The motto may or may not be related at all, or it may be one of those memes that popped up during the project and became a sort of catchphrase everyone was using during the design, like "NOYFB", which popped up during a powerpoint torture session and stuck, or "Tastes like chicken". Sometimes it's a play on words or a riddle. That's why upthread I said that REACH might be an acronym or the project series name since the motto is "Nothing is beyond our reach", if "reach" is a project designator then it makes a nice play on words.

A lot of times you can look at the symbology and know not only which agency it was but what tech the thing was. The octopus has to be relevant here. Since NRO does observation sats it's likely the octopus's eye that's relevant; more than one news articles on the patch have mentioned the prominence of the eye. An octopus eye does some neat tricks with polarization. Maybe that's related.

And/or there are eight separate sensors on the satellite or something similar. But that is precisely how these things work, yes.
It means nothing to you, but it means something obvious to people working on the program.

That's disgraceful!

NWO (I realize that's not involved here explicately) after all is OWN, spelled backwards.

It's not about international peace and law and order, but about control, from the top down, just not capped off with "servant leadership", not really although that could be the outward representation (that it's "all good"). Even Bush Sr.'s "a thousand points of light" reference has hideous undertones.

wasaka
(quote) Asktheanimals

Did I mention he was the first to talk about the New World Order to the American public?
A big idea, whose time has come.
Like a thousand points of light.(end quote)

The phrase "a thousand points of light" was popularized by US president
George H. W. Bush, and later formed the name of a private, non-profit
organization launched by Bush to support volunteerism.

Where have we heard this referenced before?

Here is a relevant quote:

"The political world of the Open Conspiracy must weaken, efface, incorporate and supersede existing governments....The Open Conspiracy is the natural inheritor of socialist and communist enthusiasms; it may be in control of Moscow before it is in control of New York. . . . The character of the Open Conspiracy will then be plainly displayed. It will be a world religion. This large, loose assimilatory mass of groups and societies will definitely and obviously attempt to swallow up the entire population of the world and become a new human community....The immediate task before all people, a planned World State, is appearing at a thousand points of light [but]...generations of propaganda and education may have to precede it."

Do you believe in the existence of an "Open Conspiracy" as described
by HG Wells in his 1928 book of the same name? When I first read this
work I was still in high school. I had wondered if the man had some psychic
ability... but much later I read more material that showed who he was
connected to in his life, and how THEY were connected... at which point
one can no longer deny that this IS a plan. Wells called it the "Blue Print
for New World Order" and so it is. NWO = OWN (spelled backwards)

In his "Illuminati bloodlines & mind control" Fritz Springmeier refers to
the Mother of Darkness castle in Belgium that has a thousand points of
light
on the ceiling of the cathedral. Interesting no? Jean Nicolas and
Frédéric Lavachery also mention the Amerois castle as a place where
satanic ritual parties with children sacrifices allegedly took place.
source: archive.is...

archive.org...

In 1928, the leading British Round Table strategist, H.G.
Wells, wrote The Open Conspiracy: Blue Prints for a World
Revolution (New York: Doubleday, Doran and Company).
The Open Conspiracy is Wells' Mein Kampf — a recipe for
how to establish a world government that would, over time,
perhaps even over generations, recruit individuals and set
up institutions to create a world "directorate" to run a "new
world order."

Wells does not stand in opposition to fascism or commu-
nism, he merely sees these forms as experiments or immature
expressions of the "new order" which will be replaced by his
vision of the new order.

By the time the first edition of Wells' Open Conspiracy
bible had appeared, institutions like the Rhodes Trust, the
Round Table, the British Fabian Society, the Royal Institute
of International Affairs, and its New York City adjunct, the
Council on Foreign Relations, were already engaged in the
process of recruiting successive generations of agents, agents-
of-influence, and agents provocateurs, to the One World ban-
ner. Wells' The Open Conspiracy gave focus to the effort,
stating bluntly the long-term objectives, and highlighting the
critical importance of selecting and recruiting the best and
the brightest, albeit corrupted, minds — what Wells called the
"serious minority."

Three-quarters of a century later, Wells' "Open Conspir-
acy" is still trying to prevail.

Sometimes the bosses decide it's a bit TOO obvious. There was a set of coffee cups that comes to mind that you could only use in the SCIF. Sort of defeats the purpose.

Unlike humans, numerous animals are differentially
sensitive to the e-vector orientation of linearly polarized light;
such a capability is known as ‘polarization sensitivity’.

Blimey, brilliant! Human-designed camouflage might "look" really good and deceptive to the MK-1 homo sapiens eyeball.

But not to the octopus.

The octopus ... seeks its prey by so changing its colour as to render it like the colour of the stones adjacent to it; it does so also when alarmed.

Hi There FailedProphet

Interesting let see...........

Heres a thought !!

Cthulhu Mythos deities

Great Old One

An ongoing theme in Lovecraft's work is the complete irrelevance of mankind in the face of the cosmic horrors that apparently exist in the universe, with Lovecraft constantly referring to the "Great Old Ones": a loose pantheon of ancient, powerful deities from space who once ruled the Earth and who have since fallen into a deathlike sleep.[3]
Lovecraft named several of these deities, including; Azathoth, Cthulhu, Ghatanothoa, Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Sothoth, Nyarlathotep and Yig. With a few exceptions, Cthulhu, Gatanathoa, et al, this loose pantheon apparently exists 'outside' of normal space-time. Though worshipped by deranged human (and inhuman) cults, these beings are generally imprisoned or restricted in their ability to interact with MOST people (beneath the sea, inside the Earth, in other dimensions, and so on, at least until the hapless protagonist is unwittingly exposed to THEM... Lovecraft visited this premise in many of his stories, notably his 1928 short story, The Call of Cthulhu with reference to the eponymous creature. However, it was Derleth who applied the notion to all of the Great Old Ones.

NRO Pocket History

The NRO’s innovations have impacted our daily lives by
improving the technology many of us use regularly. NRO
research has contributed to the development of high definition
television, GPS systems, lunar imaging, video recording, and
cellular phones. It has impacted the commercial camera
and film industries. NRO technologies are also used to fight
breast cancer by improving both its detection and treatment.

Just posting this makes my skin crawl. A quote from Mr. Leary if I might,

"Turn on, tune in, drop out."

"Turn on" meant go within to activate your neural and genetic equipment. Become sensitive to the many and various levels of consciousness and the specific triggers that engage them. Drugs were one way to accomplish this end. "Tune in" meant interact harmoniously with the world around you - externalize, materialize, express your new internal perspectives. "Drop out" suggested an active, selective, graceful process of detachment from involuntary or unconscious commitments. "Drop Out" meant self-reliance, a discovery of one's singularity, a commitment to mobility, choice, and change. Unhappily my explanations of this sequence of personal development were often misinterpreted to mean "Get stoned and abandon all constructive activity".

I know this post seems a little out of place, but I just wanted to encourage people that technology will not always solve the worlds problems. Learn to love your brothers and sisters and help educate them in a way that will bring us together as a species.

We do not need counter-terrorism. We need love.

I imagine it's been mentioned already, but most government insignias/patches are pretty obvious as to their overall missions.

I've seen some that I was just like, "WTF ... how do they get away with it?!"

But really, very few people, other than those who receive that patches, see them ... or if they do, rarely give them much thought as to what they signify.

Your tax dollars at work on you're not supposed to know what, cuz Classified.

Ain't a fake Democratic Republic Capitalist Society run by psychopaths great or what? Cuz, Freedom! And Flags! And Bacon! And Beer!

But Wahhhh! We're Broke! No money for food stamps, or homeless people, or Social Security, or unions, or the 1/4 or more of the child population that's living under the poverty line!

And gay marriage! And vote Tea Party!! And God will save you, if only you Believe!

A few dozen families consisting of a few thousand people are responsible for the majority of this obscene-ness, along with their very well paid sociopathic minions (you can tell them by the riot gear). What's it gonna take for humans to wake up and take back their planet? Because it's quite obvious we're running out of time, and protests and blogging aren't cutting it.
