That's one of the beautiful things about the K-77. The launch platform steers it into short range when its own radar takes over.

I have a good algorithm.

If you have a mm wave radar rapidly increasing in magnitude on you, SHOOT IT.

Interesting missile. So you're saying that the T-50 has such a good radar that it can't be jammed by Prowlers and Growlers? Wouldn't the missile only be as deadly as the ability for the T-50 to get a lock?

Not at all. AESA can be jammed, but the way jamming is most effective is to detect the radar, and use its own frequency against it. You create false targets, and blot out targets.

With AESA its much harder to detect the beam and use that method against it. The brute force approach blocks out everything, including your own radars.

OK I see now. Seems like a better jamming solution or algorithm will be needed to detect the band and jam it versus jamming everything rendering your own fighters blind.

The current algorithms will work, the change needs to come in the detection portion. Either a software or hardware change, I don't know.
