HO! HO! HO! Christmas/Winter Holidays Avatar Contest [Winners Announced]

Hello everyone,
I downloaded GIMP last weekend & took the ATS tutorial
notes as well as found the GIMP tutorial page. It's all bloody
over whelming. I had hoped to at least make a holiday avatar
but I cannot do the layering thing yet. It's hard enough trying to
just get a picture re-sized & uploaded. Some how when I was
trying to upload a new avatar the other night the size changed &
was making doubles of 2 different sizes....took hours to get back
to normal the one I already had since I wasn't sure how I bloody
got one up in the first place.

Are any of these doable & is it possible to get a hat for the Ho Ho Ho
competition...also if the one of him going across the pen maybe a wreath
on the pen? This is my then 12 yr old Border Collie competing in a major
sheep herding trial a year ago & I retired him after that weekend.

To bad the sheep aren't in the pictures since that is his focus.

Thank you for everyone's help Snarky for getting me to take the plunge
into GIMP & for the tutorials by Argata, Druid42, & Zarniwoop.

I see this will be a long process when ALL of it is new.

Oh no...I'm as amateur as it gets. Without the help of the interwebz I would be very uncreative. I love animations though. More interesting to look at. Not all my avatars are animated though. Made this one for the heck of it.

Well thank you.I used to make them all the time, but I'm a bit rusty. I'll have a look through the thread and see if I can fit in there. No worries about the big ape...I'm sure he's more of a teddy bear. * Got some bananas though, just in case.
