What he said is true. Donald Rumsfeld sold the chemical weapons to Iraq. So maybe you should do some checking before calling people clueless and deluded.

I do recognize that some, though not all of the technology that Saddam used in regards to Chem warfare did come from the US and many other Western nations. But that old argument that the US was the sole supplier is getting old.

People need to educate themselves.

People keep responding to this thread as though the majority are following him. However he got elected, and from I read its not possible for a county to have 100% liberal votes, so....hmmm...hmmm..hmmm.. doesn't seem to be legitimate means of election. Bush I recall also used illegitimate means as did Harper.


However, current polls place him down the lowest and least popular president in history with a majority wanting obamacare scrapped.

I can't live with any of his lies, I have no respect for the illegal president and never will.

He leads a fake life and hides his real immoral and sick lifestyle, I feel sorry for the 2 children that pose as his kids.

He does not tell the truth about anything, no credibility, no integrity, can't speak or talk unless it is on a teleprompter.
When he doesn't get his way he gets very angry and throws temper tantrums like the spoiled boy he is.

Since he is the first politician to ever lie to the people of the United States, I really don't think I can stand his being in office but a couple of more years.
Maybe before this next election we should set up a committee to inspect every candidate's birth certificate and administer a lie detector exam to be sure they will qualify to run for office.

I mean, we can't have some foriegn born lying politician tainting our purfect and pure election process can we?

Bush had every conservative in the country convinced his lies were true and the liberals were just hiding the facts.

Clinton lied all the time and the response wasn't "he just lied to us" it was "look at how well he just lied".

I'm sure Bush Sr and Reagan had similar incidents if I was politically aware that far back to have noticed it.


This is hardly something new with Obama.

Well, Obama has been using the tool known as the noble lie quite heavily, that's for sure. American politics in general seems to be thriving off of it nowadays.

The fact in the matter is if a president, or the government as a whole, were to tell the 100% truth about everything, our whole system would collapse. People need to be lied to it seems. We've been BSed all of our lives from just about every institution. In the words of George Carlin "BS is the glue that holds everything together."

Everyone wants people to tell them it's all going to be okay, and they always have some schmuck wearing a suit right there playing on their needs and hopes. It's a cute little game that people always play with each other. And it seems as if nobody ever wants to address it. Far to many people choose to either be ignorant, or at least willfully ignorant. And when all else fails, just deny it. Or even better, take the opportunity to blame it on those who you are opposed to. That always works wonders.

Well now if this doesn't accurately describe the trend going on now in the US I don't know what does.

Bill Clinton lies about a hummer and he gets impeached. Obama lies about everything and he gets a second term and the adulation of the masses. Are people really that stupid!?

That was the first thing that came to my mind too, I think this trend started with Bill, the democrats will defend him to the bitter end.

When we decided to not hold our leaders to higher level of accountability and strength of character.

It's the blatant nature of the lies and complicity of the media in trying to cover them up that makes this one so bad.

You're right that the lies have always been there, but it seems the press always seems to dig it out and tell us about it. It also seems that the government at least makes an effort to cover it up and do plausible deniability.

But look at the latest example. They bring Obama's uncle up on drunk driving charges and it seems like reflex that Obama denies having had anything to do with him, ever. Then Uncle Omar says that Obama lived with him for some months while Obama was attending Princeton which would be normal for a college student to do. So, why bother to lie about that?! It's just pathological, and now they have to make excuses for it.
