You may feel you are out of the norm given the slooooooooooow response rate, maybe that has more to do with people not knowing how to broach the subject?

If you are a Christian fundamentalist then you ought to support a "war" on Islam, as it is "evil" and it is not the true path and it is a "threat" to world stability and peace.

If you believed more strongly that the industrial military complex is of absolutely no use to the long term future of the environment of our planet, your overall view may be very different.

I think there is confusion in your position, but it's quite normal. Catholic views vary widely and they can disagree with the Pontiff without major repercussions for a person's life.

Personally if religion and government WERE completely separate then the world would be a much better place.

No more of this "oh your a -insert religion-, therefore you must be a - insert political ideology-"

not abnormal at all. In my area, I'm seeing lots of folks with Bush/Cheney bumber stickers on their work trucks next to their Union bumber stickers...just when I thought I had politics figured out.

Yeah it can get complicated, almost all of my friends are extremely conservative while being completely pro-choice...

The reason for this is because people have become more interested in designations than issues. Party line.

It's more than healthy to have views that don't support the line of one party fully.

Thats a good thing man... (not so much your views, but the fact you have your own views)... having your own views is something the masses lack... you are given two choices and most people will blindly follow one of the two... you are a rare breed of insight my friend
