My Son Wants Skinny Jeans.

My boy wants skinny jeans for Christmas. I'm kinda bummed. I hate skinny jeans. They look too girlie. I did try a pair on about a year ago. I felt that if i farted or sneezed I'd blow the ass out. Not enough room for my frank and beans. Too tight around the legs. I will get him a couple of pairs and I promise I won't make fun of him.

I know how you feel, but I always tell myself the following: "My parents let me dress, as silly as it may have looked, as I wanted to."
I can't do otherwise with my own kids. And being young is the time to dress a bit silly.

You don't want him to try those jeans in 40 years, now.

At worst, he will look like a British rock star. Girls like that. haha

He is being creative and expressing himself. It is good to see a parent put there own opinions aside and get a child something they may find distasteful. Keep going.

You could be buying him big baggy jeans that sag halfway to his knees and show half of his underwear.
That was the big thing for a while.

Kids can't be caught doing the same thing for too long.
It makes them feel uncool.

Ugh, I hate em too. I live in LA and kids are still wearing them, and they have been for like 8 years now. I had hoped that would go away. I will say they are not as popular as they were a few years ago at least. I used to think to myself (jokingly) that boy must have borrowed his sisters pants. Anyway let him express himself however he sees fit, as long as he does not harm himself. Grin and bear it.

Buy some, and right when he gets home, go put them on. really limp wristed looking ones.

And maybe where them to the store with him sometime.

I think those jeans have rock spirit and not girly at all. Besides i believe English rock stars used those before groupies ( girls ) did.
Like english bad boy Frankie Cocozza, even not so good singer but a lot of attitude. I like skinny jeans..

Every generation has their own style that looks ridiculous to the older generation. They are only jeans, just be glad it is not crack coc aine he wants.

Look at the bright side. At least bell bottoms haven't made a come back. I wouldn't be able to see my son walk in without laughing a little with those.

I wear a 'good fit' pair of jeans.They're not overly tight and they DONT close in at the ankles. That's just how I roll. Back in high school I had the long hair, the bell bottoms jeans and the Led Zeppelin T''s.

It could be worse... At least I think..
My son is 8 and wears skinny jeans cause he skate boards and it's easier to skateboard with those kind of jeans...
He doesn't wear them all the time.. Just when he skates..

I wouldn't worry about it. I saw a comment that said they aren't girlie and I agree...

@wrabbit-I would love for bell bottoms to make a come back... That would be wicked cool!!
