I really don't understand the interest with watching news from the television. Or much of anything for that matter..

Actually all those are lies and all verified.

If so, why are you only providing OPINIONS for that verification?

It is hilarious that conservatives need to be told what to think.

I find your hypocrisy to be even more so! Thanks for the laugh!

You know I always wondered why Fox and MSNBC didn't have the same ratings.

CNN is in the gutter, we all know that, and it isn't going to improve any time soon, but fox and MSNBC are literally clones of each other, just on opposite sides of the spectrum.

Are conservatives more likely to watch prime time news than liberals are? Perhaps liberals are using more online technology?

I'd like to see the stats for each respective companie's websites, that would give a better picture.

~Tenth

What you're missing here is that there are 1 million viewers between both CNN and MSNBC versus 2 million viewers for Fox News (1/3 for the others and 2/3 for Fox). The country is normally split 1/3 liberal, 1/3 conservative and 1/3 independent. It's the 1/3 independents who are choosing the truth (Fox News) rather than the liberal BS spewed out by CNN and MSNBC. It's the same thing for talk radio. It's why the conservative radio shows are crushing the libs as well. The truth! No Spin. When will the libs realize that.

I'd note Drudge Report is doing quite well too.

I think that tends to annoy the heck out of some of the real partisan folks. I know the White House people have mentioned the site by name, multiple times.

I have verified them myself..I gave them to you now you verify them..

It's not hard..even a conservative can do it...I am even going to tell you what to do just pretend I'm Fox or any conservative site you like and Google it...

I've been down that road before, and I already know that the claim of "Fox News lies!" can't be verified as a FACT. There are only "lefty" opinions behind that claim.

What I find astonishing is the same people that rag on polls and deem them untrustworthy when it goes against their preconceived notions...

Trot out a BS poll as proof of their partisan ideology....good luck with that!

Said every 20 something who later grows up and realizing hes no different than a hippie in the 60s who later turned into Fox's demographic once they had their own kids. Lol

Bash Fox news all you guys want... The sources people post here are almost always some stay-at-home type with a cheap shared hosting account and wordpress trying to push flouride filters or buy-sell-gold ads. The funny thing is, they just rewrite what the top news sites put out (or make up their own BS) and you guys believe that instead. So trustworthy.

Example: Post a huffington post article and put your flame shield on. Natural news has the legit news! Both are blatant sensationalist bs yet the people who pride themselves on pattern recognition can't see whats in front of their faces because they choose not to. Yes, I'm aware it's been filtered from here, but it got so bad people like me had to point it out.

It's just proof people are sheep, including all of us! So far ATS has dug up no proof on any of the top conspiracies here. Just some speculation with "my gut tells me" which is the opposite of evidence. So if it's this easily to mislead the 'awoken' crowd, how easily do you think the MSM can manipulate the average joe? We're all sheep.

Yes, I'm going to say this even if this post gets deleted. There is certain number of Americans that do not agree with having a POTUS that is of another race. Even though he is half, and yet phenotypically looks like a minority.
Humans are just "humans". Just look at how they behave towards each other when they have to fight over a limited amount of PS4s on the Black Friday sale!
We are still evolving, but it seems like it's going to take some time before our intelligence can fully understand and react wisely.

I believe it.
It's cable, and it caters to an older audience. Just look at the demographic the commercials are directed towards.
Rupert found a large target audience, one that needs things repeated over and over again.
It's Pavlovian perfection.

BONG!!!!!!! Fox News alert!

I know my mother-in-law wakes up every morning wondering "What does the Fox say?"

Actually, Fox News is one of my main sources for news. I read it online daily. As conservative as liberals think it is, it is actually one of the only sources in MSM that reports the actual news. It seems to have gotten more evident in the last 3 years that it is more accurate than other news sources in my opinion. That may account for the ratings. I am not by any means saying that it is my only news source, but I take all news reports with a grain of salt as I am one of the "show me" type of people that unless I see it with my own eyes I always look at multiple options and viewpoints prior to making a conclusion myself.

I do think that out of all the MSM outlets, Fox is one of the most honest and solid sources with the least bias in the public perception.

Thanksgiving I spent quite a bit of time at my mom’s house and as I said she watches FOOX morning, noon, and night. You say they report the news but from what I witnessed they simply regurgitate the same theme over and over every show. I do not know how it is even considered a news channel anymore. I can find out about more that’s going on in the world in 10 minutes online than watching 24 hours strait of that.

I did notice the put some news stories in a banner at the bottom but hell if you’re going to read about it why go to the TV?

With her it’s understandable she has an excuse.

Lol the only "Real news" on Fox News is the little news ticker at the bottom. 99% of Fox News is pure opinion.

I agree CNN is what we would consider moderate. And as such they dont have followers like MSNBC and FOX. The reason why Fox does so well is conservatives have a 2 to 1 margin over liberals.Every poll ive ever seen shows conservatives at 40 percent or better with moderates just behind at say high 30s and liberals around 20s . I think there is a correlation with religion the us is all ways 70 percent or better for christianity. If you believe in god your going to be a conservative or a moderate asa general rule.

Care to share where you got your figures (a valid source please) or do you just make them up on the fly.

Well Gallup says different: as of 2010 42% self-identify as conservative, 35% as moderate (you'd probably call them liberal socialists) and 20% as liberal. That looks lik 55% moderate/liberal and 42% conservative.

Hey, the headline sounds good though don't ya think. Nice for folks who don't read further.

www.gallup.com...

Let's see about the christianity thing:

Not bad - Christian (including Momon, Jehovah's Wittness and other) 78.4%. I really didn't expect that. Hey I thought the Muslims (.06%) were taking over.....

Here's a source for you and a pretty liberal one at that:

I've been down that road before, and I already know that the claim of "Fox News lies!" can't be verified as a FACT.

But it's been verified that they've lied on multiple occasions, I'll be kind enough to list you afew instances:

1. Glenn Beck (Fox News): Less than 10 percent of Obama's Cabinet appointees "have any experience in the private sector."
— False (December 2, 2009)

2. Steve Doocy (Fox News): White House Political Director Patrick Gaspard once served as the "right-hand man" for Bertha Lewis, who heads up ACORN.
— False (September 30, 2009)

3. Glenn Beck (Fox News): The Muslim Brotherhood has "openly stated they want to declare war on Israel."
— False (February 15, 2011)

4. Bill O'Reilly: "We researched to find out if anybody on Fox News had ever said you're going to jail if you don't buy health insurance. Nobody's ever said it."
— False (April 27, 2010)

www.politifact.com...

5. Todd Starns (Fox News) "President Obama’s proclamation marking the September 11th terrorist attacks did not include any mention of God."
-False.
radio.foxnews.com...
(He did) www.whitehouse.gov...

6. Steve Doocy (Fox News) "the administration sued Ohio to block early voting for military members”
-False (October 2nd, 2012)
www.foxnews.com...

www.factcheck.org...

There are plenty of examples of lies from Fox news, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Now... let me list the excuses that will come about this.

"But they didn't know it false there for they weren't actually lying"

"They made a statement admitting a mistake so that isn't a lie"

"CNN and MSNBC lied too so there for this cancels out the lies from Fox news"

"All those sources of yours are liberal sources, Fox news never lies"

..and so on and so on and so on. Keep your head in the sand like an ostrich Ben. It's what people on the fringe right do best.

See ya?

yeah? thats nice i guess.
hate to break it to you but most left leaning folks don't get their news from tv.
tv is dying, only the conservatives don't realize that so you see a bigger amount from them.

funny that people will gloat over something like this when honey boo boo gets more viewers.

i tried watching fox once, they had 5 things they talked about all day, every show repeated the same things over and over again.
it's insane.

I generally go liberal in a lot of cases, but MSNBC is full of race baiting and Obama cheering. So much Obama rallying that it makes me sick. CNN is just so boring and repeating the same stuff over and over. I don't like Fox because I don't usually care for conservative spin, either, though it's at least more difficult to spot the spin than it is with MSNBC.

I can't blame people for turning to Fox. They usually at least have some interesting commentary and banter a bit. It's also fun to see when really knowledgeable people go on there and make some of the hosts look like total morons when the hosts are being cookoo for cocoapuffs. I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of the viewings from both Fox and MSNBC have to do with people getting their jollies from watching the stupid.
