Sounds like you were lucky enough to live in some isolation and protection from commercialism. Others live in small apartments with the flashing neon signs over their doors. Pity they have no say over how fast or how far corporate Industry will go to take the Thanks out of the Holiday. Corporate entities set up Black Friday like a media event, they offer a ridiculously few items at the bargain price so people have to aggressively fight over them or lose them. This adds to the frenzy and whips people into a mad froth where survival of the fittest takes over. There is no mercy for the slow or the weak. lol When people are in a mob they act differently than normally but even that is no excuse. The repulsive, savagery of humans cannot be underestimated or matched by any creature.

This is not just in the U.S ... this is what happens to people when people tend to have an ultra materialistic life style .. People these days needs "gadgets and gizmo's" to have fun . If this is were technology is heading human civilization then i don't want any part of it ... Today U.S , tomorrow the world .

Life can only survive by feeding off of something else.

The trees... our oxygen, light from the sun.

Humans... from the trees, sunlight, planets in the form of vegetables

Even the sun took its energy from somewhere... Now we are absorbing light from the sun in order to exist.

I have spent the majority of my 50 + years on this planet in the company of species other than Homo sapiens.. For that I thank God every day as my life has had meaning and at times, a peace not attainable in the company of other humans..

I have been watching some videos of the actions around this country on what is commonly called "Black Friday" and to be honest, I am disgusted with humanity..

Strangely enough for over 30 years I have been in one uniform or the other protecting creatures like this.. (I initially called them animals but that is a dark stain on the name animal)

I can not fathom such greed, such avarice, such a lack of regard for everything we have always associated with the word humanity..

Every other species on this planet I understand

I think you have to look at the big picture before blaming people. Real wages and income has dropped for almost everyone, except the rich, since the 60's. People have less and less to spend so they seek deals to compensate. This is a country steeped in consumerism that is pounded into peoples head by advertising in all media. It's a kind of brain washing. I know I work in advertising. We find a way to get people to react to our messages by crafting sophisticated advertising. Read "Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind". By Jack Trout and Al Ries. There are powerful money forces training people to react this way.

If many of you are going to spend your time here explaining the excuses humans use for their actions, PLEASE save the oxygen..

Everyone has one

They all stink

The mentality of these people is very different to my own but if they want to go and get involved in this madness than that is their choice. I kind of see it as similar to people who involve themselves in those bull runs in Spain. You know there is a chance of getting injured in advance and situations like this can be avoided if you want to avoid them. That's my solution for dealing with people who make me feel uncomfortable - avoid and be aware of where you might encounter them.

However, when you feel so down on the collective, mass stupidity and ignorant brutality of humans, look at some superior art or read a classic. That will remind you that the exceptions make all the noise worthwhile. Those exceptional people are seriously awe inspiring.

And even the normal, average, beer swilling, cereal eating, media- dumbed -down version of human can be delightfully surprising.

Don't let the gems get lost in the plastic.

Some of those are funny. And I couldn't believe the mob of people who were actually smiling and having fun doing that, lol.

But really, back to the point.

I had to tell someone yesterday that I don't appreciate all the lies they have told me because they are always being fake to me and I caught them, so I didn't want to talk to them. So in return they harass me. It makes you want to feel negative or engage with the person in negativity. For many days I was depressed because I felt that there was less care in the world than there should be, that more people didn't care about their neighbor than people that did.

I know that there are many examples of this, but we have to forgive. The earth is so mysterious that we need to focus on the spirit and not the world. The world is a dwelling place of negativity and frustration. The earth is magical and loving. It has taken me a lot of work to separate my conscious from the world, because in reality we are all one, they are just in delusion.

I think the one in the blue shirt at the 3:30 minute mark should have been in the new pants section to find a pair that fit...lol

It is corporate greed creating this frenzy and loving every minute of it. If they kept their prices reasonable and constant all year, this would not happen and maybe, every day would be Christmas!!!

You won't find me anywhere near that mob mentality, nor on boxing day either
