Not really a base, but still on topic since everyone that pokes around the Groom border ends up going to the Little Aleinn at some point. Not to be sexist, but the ladies like the real bathroom as opposed to using a shovel and a shrub not nearly big enough to provide cover. ;-)

I-Team investigates Neo-Nazis in Rachel

It turns out the purchaser of the one store in Rachel, the now defunct Alien Cowpoke, has white supremacist Neo-Nazi ties. Probably true. They certainly lacked ties to the business community since they ended up destroying the trailer park, store, and the only gas in town.

I'm told the Little Aleinn will sell you some gas, kind of illegally, if you are really stranded. I have no first hand knowledge of this.

The story I was told about the Alien Cowpoke gas station is some permits expired, and to renew the permits will require bringing the station up to current standards, which is very expensive. An additional problem was their pumps were very old, so it was hard to keep the station operational.

Some of these gas stations you find in the boonies have pumps so old that they can't handle current day gas prices. They set the price at a fraction of the real price. That is, set the price at half the rate then double the bill.

What is interesting is the old PiKNSave (IIRC) was sold years ago. I don't see why it took so long for this to come out.

A very disconcerting development. I hope more MSM pick it up. The only way to deal with stuff like this is to cast a very bright light on it continuously - until it shrivels up and dies.

This sounds like the same "neo-nazi" hysteria we see from Germany on an almost daily basis. Maybe he is but who cares about that? Or are only political parties and ideologies that are sanctioned by the state allowed.

The people who had to move of course have valid gripes. That he's a neo-nazi or white supremacist or whatever isn't one of them. Having to move off a rented lot without a lot of notice, yeah I'd be PO'd too. As far as the "Watchdog" group(s) I'd be willing to bet the the SPLC is the main culprit in this and they're one of the biggest spreaders of fear, hate and distrust in the US.

Who knows maybe he's going to build an extraterrestrial hotel and casino or something. Or maybe if the "Watchdog" groups are to be believed he's going to try and rebuild the Fatherland at Area 51. Somehow I doubt that though.
