The Daniel Diet from God theme explored:

The Daniel Diet

Citation:

In the Bible, the Jewish noble Daniel and his companions are captured by the Babylonians and inducted into the service of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar. The Babylonians offer Daniel and his men rich food (“the King’s meat” and wine), but Daniel was wary of God’s prohibition of “unclean foods.”

Daniel 1:8 states: “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank...”

Daniel said he and his friends would eat a diet of only vegetables (“pulse”). After 10 days, they grew healthier and stronger than the Babylonians, and his diet became a small demonstration of his opposition to the King’s power.

This passage is occasionally used to encourage Christians to resist the corrupting influences of the outside world. But several years ago, some Protestant churches began to take the “diet” aspect of Daniel’s story literally.

The reason for why this story of Daniel is important is elusive for most followers of religion. We shall comment as to why this happens.

The region of Babylon is in what is called the Fertile Crescent and this area is high in a special mineral called Boron.

Boron is also rich in the Jordan River, where John the Baptist Baptized Jesus. It is also high in the region of Jerusalem and played a role in the Lords Supper or Last Supper of Jesus.

Even today, because of the boron in the food and water supplies around parts of Israel, many people don't have problems with arthritic type health problems.

The Gihon Spring that was under the Temple of Solomon also contained Boron minerals and it fed the King's Garden in the valley below Jerusalem. The Gihon Spring was named for a River connected to the Garden of Eden that was also located in the Fertile Crescent zone to the East of Babylon and near the City of Ur and Eridu.

The Last Supper involved grain and grapes (bread and wine) and these were grown in the boron rich soils of the area and are the same as the message from Daniel!!

Now, to support this thesis we have to check if there is evidence of Boron and health effects:

Boron and Health

Citation:

Boron is an important trace mineral that has largely been ignored for health maintenance and freedom from disease. This is unfortunate, as it is extremely important and as a health supplement, can have profoundly beneficial effects.

Health Conditions Improved Naturally with Boron
Arthritis
Osteoporosis
Aging
Menopausal Symptoms
Sex Hormones
Allergies
Parasites
Candida Albicans
Lupus Erythematosis

There is an abundance of references that speak to the health benefits of Boron, and even the Boron in the soils of the Fertile Crescent.

Research Overview

A review of animal and human research on boron yielded the following information which points to a much more comprehensive view of boron.

Deficiency in boron has been shown to contribute to:
1. Abnormal embryo development
2. Decreased sperm count
3. Ovarian deterioration
4. Damage in reproductive function
5. Decrease in electrical activity in the brain
6. Sub optimal mineral metabolism
7. Poor manual dexterity
8. Impaired hand-eye coordination

Boron supplementation was found to:
1. Increase steroid hormone levels (testosterone) and therefore may be of interest to athletes
2. Increase bone growth and strength
3. Augment estrogen function and therefore may help prevent atherosclerosis
4. Improve brain function and cognitive functioning
5. Reduce HDL cholesterol
6. Affect thyroid hormone levels
7. Alleviate harmful effects of vitamin D, magnesium, and potassium deficiency in postmenopausal bone loss
8. Play a role in the prevention of osteoporosis
9. Be of benefit in the treatment of arthritis
10. Prevents calcium loss in postmenopausal women

Some information about Boron:
1. Dried prunes are a good source of boron
2. The bones of humans using boron supplement are harder to cut
3. Research indicates that areas of the world with highest intake of dietary boron have the lowest incidence of arthritis
4. Boron increased life span in animal studies
5. Boron works synergistically with calcium and magnesium
6. Boron balances vitamin D3 deficiency
7. Boron contributes to growth cartilage maturation

Funny, because it's also one of the most common insecticides. (Ant killer). I am not contradicting it's efficacy in small amounts, just think it's ironic that it's hawked on the standard circle of "Natural" websites. But it's accepted because it doesn't have the same history with pharm industry.

Boric Acid is the ant killer, and that isn't so good.

There are other chemical compounds of Boron that are compatible with plants and animals, lots of Boron supplements on the market too.

Lots of the health benefits of grains and grapes trace back to their enhanced Boron content over other vegetables and fruits.

Considering people put it in their eyes, on their skin and (women) in their vaginas, I presume it to have some beneficial properties.

Doesn't matter either way, the crank health circuit says any kind of fluorine is poison simply because it has an Fl or F in its chemical makeup. (While marketing their own poisons.)

Not to say Fl isn't one of the most reactive elements there is, but look at SF6 and the argument goes out the win dow

Very interesting. You put together a very strong case. Boron is heavily used in testosterone boosting supplements. While the effects of actually boosting testosterone may be unfounded in most of these supplements. Boron's positive effects are pretty conclusive.

Grapes as you brought up are also interesting with its nutrient content containing polyphenol antioxidants like reversatol, trace minerals, vitamins, sterols, and fatty acids. They seem to cast a wide net on the nutrition content.

I've always been very interested in nutrition, and food, supplements.

This is why Yahweh chose a Jew instead of a Cajun to collect the animals. Everything would have been extinct with the exception of a few well-fed Creole folks.

Yes, Boron does boost testosterone, and with that muscle mass. Many body builders use the effect. And Boron reverses fluorine retention in the body.

Boron is not biologically concentrated in all plants and fruits, only a select few have the bio-concentration effect!

One can see those companies that import fruits that do depend upon Boron to do well, import from countries with good Boron concentration in their soils. Which is why many folks that know this effect do better with diets inclusive of those fruits and veggies.

Also, something that helps with diabetic issues is Cinnamon, which is high in Boron content. Here are some of the numbers:

So, that story of Daniel is showing up as a practical reality due to science looking at the right areas today!!
