The republicans propose cuts in food stamps while they fight vigorously to defend tax cuts for the rich. How can people not see what these monsters stand for. The little guy, working to support his/her family has no chance. They own almost all of the media and every expose of the truth is a liberal lie. It seems simple to me, if you aren't very rich or own a large corporation and you vote republican you are just plain stupid.

That’s what the elite want you to believe, but those countries were screwed by the same forces that are screwing you now, the 2007-8 crash.

The Banks have forced the puppet politicians to act accordingly. Rob the poor to give to the rich.

And people like you empower that stuff that is killing the people and making life easier for the rich and powerful

Either you are of the rich or you vote and think against your own interest!

Here you are espousing political dogma in the face of human suffering.

Political dogma causes human suffering. (See Obama administration)

I could as well blame the economy on the GOP ruled congress that doesn’t want to have a jobs policy.

Last I heard, the DNC ran congress.

Want to cut, cut, and cut when NEVER in history has an economy grown through austerity cuts.

Bull. Name me one economy that has grown through government dictates!

Europe now is failing because of that same austerity principle.

Go to Greece, France, England, and Portugal and see the people suffering

edit on 28-11-2013 by Willtell because: (no reason given)

Europe is failing because of out-of-control spending! (See Obama administration)

No the GOP were against every major improvement in history:
They were against the 40 hour work week, social security, unemployment insurance, child labor laws, many civil rights laws, etc etc and etc. Anything for the poor and middle class the GOP has been against and anything for the rich and powerful they are all for.

They were all right when Lincoln was a republican but in the modern era they are the devils of this planet and those who empower them are the ignorant.

" Here we go again. The anti-human GOP seeks to starve more Americans, Veterans, old folks, and children. "

Oh that makes Alot of Sense , Not . If Obama and the Socialist Democrats were not so Hell Bent on Destroying the Middle Class by Underminding the American Economy with their Marxist Policies , people would have Freakin' JOBS , and would NOT NEED Food Stamps . Go Peddle your LAME Propaganda somewhere else TROLL , it's People like you Support who are gonna Pay Big Time when WE THE PEOPLE Finally say ENOUGH !

It's really Bush's fault OP...But I guess you can throw in the whole GOP !

False left-right paradigm much?

Actually it's really Reagan's fault if you were paying attention. Bush just furthered the agenda with caution to the wind, right in the face of every American. That's why you all had to abandon him. Romney would have been no different. Until we stop the idea that money is speech and corporations are people we are just screwed.

You are right in seeing through the left-right paradigm but there is still a difference between the democrats and republicans and as of late it seems to be a moral difference.

If people abuse public assistance then it should be reformed not stopped. How can you let a child go hungry or sick? Call me a socialist if you will but I will still stop to help someone who falls in front of me.

I know where you are coming from op, some people think it is ok for 6 people that own Walmart to have more wealth than 140 million Americans. Wait and see what happens when those 140 million people get pushed far enough, they won't be able to build ivory towers tall enough.

The obvious answer is for those 6 people who own Walmart to evenly split up their money between the 140 million people then everybody would be a little richer ( except the 6).

Of course then the 6 would be a lot less rich and couldn't afford to run a huge corporation like Walmart anymore and then the 2,100,000 people wouldn't have jobs anymore (that's 2.1 MILLION people)

Then where would you people lay the blame when all those people no longer had jobs anymore?

I know, I know.......rich people are greedy and to blame for all the worlds problems. None of them busted their butts and made sacrifices to get where they are and it's all their faults that people will a below average education and little drive in life have to work there.

All you espouse is GOP austerity rhetoric…dogma of cut taxes for the rich and stop government spending.

The US spent its way to prosperity in the 50’s and 60’s with the infrastructure that built the highways you go along with your dump truck everyday

All dogma and no logical facts
As for Europe you need to actually research facts not your economic fantasy voodoo economics

Austerity Still Failing in Europe

While the U.S. has pursued a fiscal stimulus and then a monetary one, and has gotten out of gear on an ocean of fracked oil, Europeans have been reluctant to either spend or create new money, fearing inflation. The results seem clear. Germany is getting the same economic boost from renewable energy that the U.S. has gotten from fracking. The U.S. has cut its record deficits in half, while Germany is running a budget surplus and is able to export profitably. Yet in response to its successful investments Germany has been demanding that other countries in the eurozone cut spending to reduce deficits, and so those economies continue to shrink, reducing demand for the very exports on which Germany's future growth depends. That is what is tearing Europe apart. Germany's successful energy program and fiscal discipline are holding down aggregate demand elsewhere and building resentment across the continent. Because there is less money to buy goods, the price of goods is falling. Spain, Cyprus, Ireland and Greece are all now suffering from deflation. As the U.S. found during the Great Depression 80 years ago, deflation is worse than inflation because demand falls faster than supply. The European Central Bank recently cut refinancing rates to 0.25%. There's not much further down it can go. But don't expect anything like the Federal Reserve's quantitative-easing program. The bankers in Europe are opposed to it on a philosophical level. As Japan has shown, a deflationary spiral can be much more difficult to break out of than an inflationary one. Only recently, with what is called "Abenomics," is the country starting to pull out of the slide. But it's a long slog back, and Covestor.com has warned here that, once again, "debt debt debt" could hold Japan back.

Forced Ammo shortage.... biding time?

BTW there used to be a time the lower end made more money and the higher end made less... thats why SNAP recipients have increased. Those that disagree either: A.) think one day they will be the 1% and so they support them out of "self interested hope", or B.) are the 1%.

Those that fall under "A" realize on their deathbeds that they made a mistake while laying in the cheapest nursing home the state can provide, but by then its to late huh?
Why not just work until you die, it will better for us all right?

I have no ideal how to respond to ignorance like that.

Please, don't listen to the bull you read, study real history.

You'll find why a poor guy like myself supports republicans, when MSM says I should support democrats.

Before you go around calling people names you aught to check your self out!

You support the works of people who starve woman and children and murder old people and veterans…

I think you lack a conscience and must have trouble sleeping at night

It is you who need help, you need a moral heart transplant

I support tax cuts for the rich because the rich are the only ones paying taxes. I'd support tax cuts to the poor, but they don't pay taxes.

I also spent 3 years in Europe and have a firm grasp of what spending and stupid policies led to the austerity measures for EU members.

One day, the government is going to run out of other peoples money.

Then austerity will be here for everyone that relies on government for money.

The quick and dirty answer?

Don't trust, rely on government. Then you won't be impacted as hard when the cuts do occur.

Another one!

They have picked and pickled your brain clean and brainwashed you to hate yourself
WAKE UP MAN and fight for yourself

Tell me one program of a humane nature the GOP supported?

Anything that has come up in modern times from unemployment insurance to child labor laws, the 40 hour work week, social security and civil rights laws the GOP has fought as they have fought against national health care.

You support inhumane people who live and work ONLY for the wealthy

If you support them then you must be a masochist.

You must hate your self, because if you are poor then they sure as hell hate you

That hurts!

BUT! It's true,I don't pay that much in taxes when all said and done.

If we could get jealous Americans to figure that out we'd be ok.

If you people were dying of thrust the GOP would give you a peanut butter sandwich because the water bill was too high and you would thank them as you choked to death

WAKE UP
Forget parties, dogma, and fight for humane issues

Stop worshiping the rich and powerful and eating out of their hands

and fight for a government for and by the people
