what happened to ison?

ive been watching comet ison tonight on nasa,and from what ive seen the infomation and live pictures seemed to be held back for a while,and the info was very sketchy at times...
im still not sure what has happened,can any of you guys help as to what has happened to ison

ISON is not a comet...It cloaked itself....It will be back IMO.

Interestingly I see there was yet another Coronal Mass ejections just as the comet was reach perihelion...

Something interesting just came up.

Didi ison just keep going and not get pulled.

Since there is no coma and the "tail" is significantly less than it was before perihelion, pretty much.
I think it's just a cloud of fragments now.

just seen another thread saying its now dead...
then i see another saying it survived.....
come on whats really going on.....lol

I wouldny label that a picture of it breaking up since the people at NASA were uncertain well after that picture was taken. They suspectes it would, but didn't have proof yet.
Not saying I doubt it disintegrates, just that that's not for certain a picture of it disintegrating. It likely disintegrated out of sight and wouldn't have been caught by soho.

"Dust continues to move around the orbit, just as it should," Pesnell told NBC News. The arc is visible in imagery from NASA's STEREO and SOHO satellites.

In this case the "may" is not a "maybe", it's more of an "even though".
Even though the comet fell apart, the remains continue in orbit.
