When we saw it everyone kind of freaked out and we split. My house was just on the other side of the fence from the school that the craft was silently hovering above, so we ran inside as fast as our feet could carry us.

I am constantly looking up at the sky now, hoping to see this thing as an adult. The fact that this triangle can fly that fast with no sound and can hover is seriously mind boggling.

I've always assumed it was a secret US military aircraft and not aliens. I've also wondered if it's a manned or unmanned aircraft. This thing has been flying around for at least 20 years.

Nothing breaks the laws of physics.. some things work around
apparent limitations which aren't necessarily real limitations.

But yah.

I threw "known" in there for a reason. But yeah.

Interesting tale and I don't doubt your sincerity.

Now I couldn't quite see it.. but there seemed to be a 'square' metal overlay on top of the triangle, but it was like it was and wasn't there. It did not subtract from the impression that I was looking at a silent flying triangle. But it was like a square platform on top of it that wasn't there. Sorry.

May I speculate and say that the unusual design of the craft may be something to do with it's unique capabilities.

Also, this may be a scary prospect but that interview was from the early 90's, so assuming this is terrestrial tech (which I think it is), then maybe what you seen was more advanced.

What I saw could easily have some sort of
cloaking or multiple projection of images
type of thing in effect; given my sight of
a 'cube' that both was and was not
there. But I only saw that cube for
about 10% of the total incident viewing
period; so maybe that weird cube
"shrodinger's cat thing was just my
imagination'.

Do you not feel that the tech on these craft just seems way more advanced than what normal progression would be? As in, why have these types of "planes" and for what purpose are they getting used? Apart from causing UFO reports of course. The military/airforce etc. always have reasons for things.

They're black projects. You don't trot out everything you have for everyone to see and know everything about. When you have to use them they're a surprise and give you a huge advantage.

As much as it looked like a physical aircraft, that weird
dual cube-triangle effect tells me it might just be
another spiritual materialization.

I don't know if it was 'physical' or 'spiritual' in nature.
If I had longer to see it, I might have been able to
ascertain which it was.

Beats the hell out of me.

But I'm far less sold on the government having 'super-tech'
than most people on this site. I've seen high-tech
government tech; and it was nothing so special.

Yeah but they haven't used them as far as I know. I don't recall (I might be wrong) any soldier, airman or sailor from any country state they have encountered this type of craft in combat. If they've been around for at least the last ten years then I find that strange.

Iraq and Afghanistan were low threat wars. They brought out a couple projects but there was no reason to use the more exotic projects, when the conventional forces we have were more than enough.

Really though, in what situation would they have absolutely HAD to have used (and probably revealed) this kind of technology, where our conventional tech wouldn't have done the job just fine?

Listen, I'm not saying the government has UFO's or anything, because I honestly have no idea. All I know is if I had some super tech like this, AND I had a conventional military as strong as ours (U.S.) that could handle pretty much any situation you throw at it, I would only ever use something like this as a last resort. Wouldn't want to risk the enemy getting their grubby little hands on it if it was really important.

I'd kinda have to know exactly what it's capabilities are though.

So, have you been keeping a watch out for 'orb lights'? 'Cause if one of those shows up you'll know for sure your 'triangle' wasn't military

Keep us posted!

p.s. Please don't take the humorous 'tone' for insincerity, it's a legitimate follow-up question...

WWIII. What's the point of having an aircraft capable of doing all kinds of things if you're going to trot it out the first time someone sneezes.

The prototypes of the F-117 stealth fighter and B-2 stealth bomber were around for longer before the actual plane was ever unveiled.

Have Blue / Hopeless Diamond had its first flights in 1975 and 1977...

The B2 and F-117 were not revealed until 1988-1989.

A lot of people are under that misconception. The B-2 was actually fairly open in development, with only the design phase being secret.

Exactly. There are no doubt weapons we'd only see if faced with an equal or superior power. ie: China, Russia, other Euro countries, etc.

Those were related to the F-117 not the B-2.

It's called...wait for it....drum roll...looking at an object from different angles. I think babies figure it out by the time they are one or something.

A good description of this possible lighter than air hybrid vehicle is the flying cheese slice.

There are tonnes of UAV triangle shaped programs that have been made public, and a bunch of other stuff that is obviously not public. That's why triangle sightings are so numerous.

Come on people...do your research! Most drones are triangular!

Yeah the government has UFOs. They are called Unidentified Flying Objects. Secret planes for those hard of hearing.

Doh.

So does 'insulting someone' improve the quality of information
shared with other ATS members? Or does it reveal something
about the person doing the 'insulting'?

Just asking.

You see by 'insulting' (I took no offense) anything you say
becomes null and void, even if you actually did have a
point in there somewhere.

And by the way, the 'cube effect' continued for another
second or so after the 'craft' was past my straight up
and down position and since there would be no fundamental
difference between near side on approach and far side
on egress your argument may have no merit whatsoever.

Or as I stated myself in the original post - perhaps I'm a
poor observer; especially since this is my first sighting
of a 'UFO'.

I can't come to any conclusions about this craft at this
time.

Thanks,

KPB
