Ahh, President Obama ... the great Uniter in Chief. Or something. Remember when President Hopey-Changey was going to usher us into an era of butterflies and rainbows and free medical care for all? Things aren’t exactly working out like that, are they? The Obama Administration seems to have a tough time facing failure. Take senior communications strategist Dan Pfeiffer, who took to Twitter on Monday to bully a woman with stage-4 gallbladder cancer. The White House is now belittling a cancer patient. That’s what we’ve come to, America.
Because of the new regulations in Obamacare, her insurance company can no longer afford to keep her covered. To get a similar plan with another company, her rates will go up 50 percent or more. And there’s no exchange she can purchase in California that will allow her to keep both her life-saving care at Stanford and her emergency care and primary physicians in San Diego.
Wow. So Obamacare makes it impossible for insurance companies to continue offering the same plans at the same rates as they have been, forcing customers to find less adequate care, and all of a sudden it’s the insurers’ fault? And telling a stage-4 cancer patient who is part of the 2 percent alive more than five years after her type of diagnosis, who has done impeccable research on the matter, and quite possibly may die now because she can’t get care that she’s wrong?
I really think someone should have looked up the definition of unity before Team Obama started using it as a slogan.
I've actually been paying a lot of attention. What I was amazed at was not the fact that O'care screwed everyone, but the fact that they had the audacity to try to blame the people and insurers for their obvious f##k up!

Everyone saw this coming.
Nothing new if you have been paying attention.

The ACA didn't tell this insurance company to drop this woman's insurance they chose to drop her insurance on their own. Simply because they won't be able to make as much profit off her like they was before the ACA. Now that she has been cut off they can jack her rates up and make even more profit.

if she is getting all this treatment, I assure you the insurance company is paying out more for her care than her premiums. She is upset because OTHER people in the insurance are no longer subsidizing HER care..
the problem is PROFIT intertwined with HEALTH..
all want to pay a few hundred a month and get MILLIONS in care if needed.. Can NOT happen. Insurance is a confidence SCAM.. Scare everyone into something where they will as a whole, give the company more money than the company expects to payout for all the care of the group.

So what you are saying is that you agree with Dan Pfeiffer that it is this woman's fault. She had a perfectly good working relationship with her insurance company up until the point that O'care was implemented. This forced the insurance company to cancel her insurance because it no longer fell within the guidelines of acceptable(according to O'care) coverage. Now because of special needs she not only has to pay double, but cannot even get the kind of coverage she had before. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Just to set the record straight getting other people to help share the cost of medical expense is exactly what O'care is all about.
