Hi. When I write "Z e d o n g", a space is automatically added between the "d" and the "o".

When I post it, it becomes, Zedong.

Example: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Just wanted to report this weird, but funny small bug.

Swan

... And the word w i n d o w. It keeps coming out as an underscore.

ETA: www.abovetopsecret.com...
You can see it spelled out when you quote the text ... it just won't show up in the thread.

Yeah, I know. w i n d o w . :

window.

That's because Microsoft's WIndow 8 is so bad, it's being interpreted by ATS system as a swear word...

Same thing with Zedong.

the post you showed there was no space, and if it's a red squiggly line it's spell checker.

see you can type ze dong Ze dong . now if you quote me the first will be underlined as. if you use a capital Z the line goes away.

it is seen as a proper name.

I was just getting ready to post that! They are weird words to just be blocked. Hopefully someone will come along shortly with an answer.

The software secretly agrees with me that his name is really Mao Tse-Tung.
I wonder if it will correct "Beijing" back to "Peking".

No, I got no spell checker problem. Are you saying that in the OP, you can't see the space in "zedong" (and in "Zedong")?

In other words, does that link works for you: en.wikipedia.org...

When I browse ATS, this link doesn't work anymore because there's a space appearing in the posted version - which of course screws the link's address.

Ohhhhh ... that's tripping. Sometimes I see the space ... sometimes I don't. That's definitely different!!!!

ETA1: Let me make sure I get this right for anyone doing a review. The first time I saw your post I didn't see it. After I wrote the post about window I did. After coming back ... the space is gone ... even after I initially submitted this post. Let's see after this ETA.

Now I don't see the space anymore. It already did that some days ago.

You're right Snarl, sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Sometime the link will work, some other time it won't.

Weird...

We got ourselves an ATS virtual Nessie, folks!

EDIT (about 5 minutes later):

Now the space is back. The link stopped working again.

That's really weird.

I think certain words are flagged by ATS and shown with spaces. I know certain illegal drug names seem to have those spaces like the full version of coke - coc aine. (See if that now has a space after I post this).

The window glitch I believe has to do with html coding or something like that, and I believe it only happens when you type the word followed by a period like this: window.

I haven't posted this yet, but if I'm correct you should see the first window but not the last one - or this one - window.

I think you can also see the effects in the preview window - no period after that one.

Here goes...

It breaks up the word "dongle" too. Not sure why.

eta: if I refresh the screen over and over, dongle will have spaces sometimes and sometimes not.

Really odd.
