This video is making the rounds on facebook so I figured I'd post it here for those interested.
There are two tracks being played on this video ...
1 - Crickets chirping at the rate we normally hear them.
2 - Crickets chirping at a slowed down rate.
The slowed down rate sounds like what you'd expect an angelic choir to sound like.
There is NO MUSIC in this video ... just crickets ...
I thought it was cool ..

So… the cricket choir is just "slowed crickets", huh?

Lots of disclaimers in the description, too.

and I think it was posted one other time recently.

I also read a note somewhere that the sounds in the background were not actually crickets. It's a native american song that was copied and constantly put out on the internet. If you youtube it, you can find one of the originals. It came from an album/CD. It was just a melody mixed with native singing and crickets in the foreground. The name of the song was something to do with crickets.

I extracted the audio from the video source, then using Pauls Stretch, plus trying several other programs to slow down the track, I could not get the "normal rate crickets" to sound the same as the harmonics of the "slower rate crickets".
