I didn't think this was ATS appro pos, and I have Googled everywhere. I've heard 1 to 2 years.
My current temp job doesn't require a clearance, and if it's a year, I'm good.
But employers are calling all the time, and my clearance is the only thing that separates me from the pack.
So, does anyone have a definitive answer on how long an Army SECRET clearance is good for, after you leave the service?

I think it is only 90 days, but the rules have been changing. It might be less now.

In my experience, you will lose your clearance as soon as you lose your "need to know". My situation is probably not like most, but my Q clearance expired when I was transferred to a different part of the job I was on.
