Also, why is it scary? It's just rock hurtling through space with a shape that is comparable to a beaver?

Holy crap!! Space Beavers.

The ones on earth are scary enough, but space ones?

oO

It's all fun and games until a beaver kills you..

Nobody knows for sure what it's made of, where it came from, or where it's going- and it's human nature to 'fear the unknown'....so all you brave souls, please leave us scardey-cats to enjoy comet Ison our way!!!

I didn't know Ison was bigger than Australia, that's a huge freaking rock. Now it makes sense if that's affecting things in our solar system now, creating violent storms, etc... So if that rock hit Earth there wouldn't be an Earth anymore, correct? That has to be way bigger than the dinosaur killer, right?

Hey there cheesy!

I've seen your ISON threads on here for quite awhile and I always enjoy them.

Thanks for all of your updates, and keep up the great work!

Yes, the one below is particularly scary - now if that's what's hurtling toward a collision with the sun ---woohoo!

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Great find Cheesy and thanks for keeping on top of this! It is incredibly fascinating.

Pretty cool stuff. But I'm sure that if ISON was the size of a planet we would have heard about it by now.

I agree..until now media not showing us how big ison is..just they say wonderful of ison etc..

The new orbital data for Comet ISON contains a new parameter, "T_jup", the "Jupiter Tisserand invariant", which indicates that the new calculation includes the gravitational perturbation of ISON's orbit by the largest planet, Jupiter. Thus it would appear, according to NASA's numbers, that the influence of Jupiter has captured ISON into the solar system, to return in 400,000 years, whereas otherwise it would have left and never returned.

So if the Jupiter who bring Ison here so Ison is Big enough to make an effect to jupiter..but thats only my idea, maybe some one else have good calculation of it..

And again we return to the "Electric Comet" theory. Not that I'm against it as I need more information. but it does sound plausible.

According to most sources, ISON is no bigger than a typical comet of about 3 miles in diameter. Not sure how the video producer came to the conclusion it was extremely massive.

Can someone please clarify this? Honestly, bigger than Aus? I'm sure we'd be seeing more effects on planets around us....

", to return in 400,000 years, ",,,which can ALSO mean it was here "400,000 years" ago and that there is nothing in the archalogical records.?

The total area of Australia is 2,967,909 sq miles (7,686,850 sq km), which is slightly smaller than the US contiguous 48 states.

I think the Star Trek logo gives that one away.

I don't usually jump on the fake bandwagon but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the objects orbiting the fake Ison are also fake.

Wow the inside looks like the weird object on the clementine mission patch that sets on the moon surface. Almost identical!
