Evening,

Not sure if I've already posted this next one.
If I have...forgive me.
If I haven't...you can thank me later!

Unrequited love songs count, right? This one isn't even the mountain goats!

Shame

Hmmm.
Fleetwood Mac, huh?

Yes, FM because I think I'm a singer & they are nice to practice harmonizing with, lol...

Great choice on a track I hadn't heard in sometime...altogether lovely

We can't forget Christine from FM as I go into lullaby mode, haha....zzzz....

Stevie Nicks is still gorgeous. I'd marry her, deviated septum and all.

Two of the most simple, heartfelt love songs I have heard.....

Tracy Chapman - The Promise

Jasper Steverlinck - Though You Are Far Away.
Between the music the simple lyrics and emotion, this song gives a sense of a level of intimacy that a lot of other "in your face" type love songs often lack.

Evening,

Yes, it's a bit overplayed but it's still my favorite Chapman tune and it's definitely about two lovers...

Yes Fast Car is my fave Tracy Chapman song too....I would also add that I feel her self titled album this song came from is arguably one of the best albums of the 80's!

Forgive me for the slight derailment...

It may not be a love song but this is still one of my favorite Nick's pieces...

Back to the OP...I think this might qualify:

Evening,

One last melody for the night before turning in.

Well, given that this is a love thread & she is a singer, I suppose this isn't too off-topic.

Are you guys in contact & have you proposed yet?!

Psssshhh, I wish. She's old enough to be my mother, but I still love her.

Hey! With rhymes like that maybe I should write some love songs!

Thanks for posting the Blue Lamp tune!
I can't believe that for unknown reasons it's never crossed my path - but I love it - though I don't consider it heavy metal, lol

I really think I'm a vocalist now because I've been singing Sara since I played the post.

One more selection from FMac & Nicks & I'll move on to others. I am not a fan of Petty at all, but this duet just works for me:

Switch-up>>>

Are these love songs? I just like the imagery & symbolism more than her voice:

Take care all

Evening,

Suzanne Vega.
I always liked the Go-Go's but my favorite Suzy tune isn't a love song.
At least I don't think it is...

Evening,

I'm suprised no one has posted this one yet.
Paul Muriat had moments of utter brilliance and Love is Blue (I think) is one of them.
A very famous melody in it's time...some might even say a classic.

If you were the member RUFFREADY...now would be about the time I would say something like:

"Okay...you win."

Wings...nice selection.
Poor Paul...he really lost a part of himself when Linda died.
Too bad Heather Mills took it from him in the divorce...

The best I can come up after dropping the "Wings-Bomb" is this...
