I am not for sure if this would be considered a conspiracy, but it is certainly interesting.

I heard about St. Bernadette on Jeopardy so I looked her up.

Here is a picture of her when she died in 1879.

Here is a picture of her in 1997.

Now I will admit that I am not up to par on the way that bodies decompose but given her shape after being dead for 118 years I thought this is amazing.

I know the way that the body is sealed is important to its condition but

the habit was damp, the rosary rusty and the crucifix had turned green
.

This wasn't exactly prime conditions to maintian a body. The humidity usually adds to the decomposition process, if I am not mistaken.

If anyone wants to check out more about St. Bernadette, you can check here.

The "picture" of what is allegedly the "remains of Bernadette Soubiroux" in 1997 shows a different face altogether from tje 1879 photo(check out the size and shape of the nose) and it looks decidedly like....well....wax actually.

I hate to have to scream FAKE! FAKE ! FAKE ! but that's what it looks like to me, especially when you compare the picture taken a few days after her death in 1879.

Just an impression is all....
