Does anyone know of any way to contact an exorcist?

Bob Larson, Exorcist

This guy, Pastor Jones, looks like Rush Limbaugh and I don't like it. I'm guessing he's probably doing exorcists at his mega church, piling his bowls full of cash.

Pastor Jones

This guy, Bob Larson, not my type, he seems to be doing things for show, seems kind of seedy.

Wikipedia: List of Exorcists

It looks like most of these exorcists are dead, except for this guy: Jeremy Davies

But check this out:

His book, Exorcism: Understanding Exorcism in Scripture and Practice was published in 2008 by the Catholic Truth Society. In the book he warns against the New Age, the occult, promiscuity, homosexuality and pornography saying that involvement in these things can lead to dire spiritual consequences.[2]

That's a bit extreme. Aren't there any exorcists who aren't conservative fundamentalists or doing it for fame / money?

-----

?The Roman Catholic Church requires that a physician rule out the
existence of a medical or psychological condition before an exorcism
can be considered.?

"It might be harmful to do an exorcism prematurely," said the Rev.
Robert Barron, a Chicago archdiocese theologian and spokesman on
exorcisms. "You always exhaust the medical, physiological,
psychological, psychiatric possibilities and only at the very limit of
that process would you entertain the possibility of doing an
exorcism."

Source: Google Answers

See, that's what I'm talking about, that is a much more professional take on the issue. That makes me more comfortable than the three examples earlier.

I have a feeling that any method rooted in Catholicism might be a brute force method as well, so I'm open to different, more subtle approaches. I'm just gathering information.

At any rate, I don't see why dealing with spirit infestations has to be monopolized by conservative fundamentalists.

You would think there would be someone out there who is just like, "Hey, I'm an exorcist, I've got a little kit on me, I'll come check it out then be on my way"

I mean this doesn't seem like something that needs to be thrown down and used as a stage show, in my opinion any exorcism involving a sound system, an audio technician and possibly catering is a bit out there. Maybe I'm using the wrong keyword?

Pentecostal churches perform them too. Dont think they're any better than the Catholics. They both use demonologist's to assist in the exorcism. Hope you find what your looking for.

Thanks, I have been having recent remissions into what reminds me of a previous experience I had, although it has been ongoing for a while - basically, about 5 years ago, I started feeling this black hole growing inside my head and then about a year later, this good-looking girl named Lilith showed up, basically in dreams and such -

I've been handling it okay, until within the last week, when she showed up again. In the meantime, I do intermittently wake up in the middle of the night, sit up and start spitting out what sounds like lizard speak, and deal with a lot of fear in general.

I finally got smart and traced back the origin of this series of issues to when I used an Ouija board in a building that was supposed to be haunted. There was a very powerful presence that moved the tracker pretty fast, it freaked everyone there out, and left a sulfur smell.

I'm not sure if that is enough to go on. I'm going to run some Cross Over Talk on Skype, see what happens.

Check out Karin at 5:00 in Bleach, Season 1, Episode 1. She can see ghosts but doesn't believe in them ha. I'm just experiencing minor stuff, still, at the moment it is nightmares, fear, confusion, feeling like a drain on society -

That last one is very frustrating because I would like to be able to not rely on external sources like my parents for help with money, food and shelter at the moment, but it is entirely hard.

But a week ago or so, Lilith showed up in my dreams and also hopped over and told my female friend to leave me alone, and she called me and told me about it the next morning. And since then has stopped talking to me, well both of them, my mom ran into Lilith she said in her dreams and got hostile, telling her to leave her son alone, or she'd kill her, something like that.

I do not usually experience that kind of integrity loss in mental health.

"The Exorcist" - the movie and the book - is based on a true story - it was a boy in St. Louis, MO.

The only entities that can expel a demon is God, the father, Jesus Christ, our saviour, and the Holy Spirit. And you must call on them if you really want to expell the demons in your life - otherwise, you're just having other demons dance around you with the other demons that you have invited into your life.

See, there's the catch - you have to invite them into you.

While I am not a fan of the catholic church - I did grow up in it.

There are very specific criteria for one to be deemed "possessed by a spirit" - things like superhuman strength, being able to speak a language one has no knowledge of, be able to predict events....

There are a few more.

In my opinion, the catholic church has just gone down the road of all the other "mega-churches" and is cashing in on the "exorcism" aspect.

If you really are interested, read the casting out of demons by Jesus in the new testatment.

There's so many demons out in the world today, and everybody wants to delve into the new-age malarky and out-of-body experiences, and UFO's and tarot cards and horoscopes - that they "rebuke" something they don't seem to like, but embrace the same demon giving them something they "want".

Not judging you, I'm certainly not perfect, it's just the world now-a-days.

I suppose, it's all subtle,in the mind. But if Lilith, is hopping in other people's dreams, that's umm hardcore.

No, no... that's pretty much how demons work.

And I think the Ouija Board is apparently a gateway, although I don't understand how come. I have spoken an odd language on a few occasions when I woke up in the middle of the night, but I don't know what I was saying or if it was anything at all.

Exorcism, the real thing that is, is scary stuff. Are you sure you want to fiddle round and actually experience what goes on?

I have been involved and i can tell you, it's not fun seeing the face of a demon looking at you.....

Your soul is in danger and you can lose it to the dark side if you don't get a handle on this problem AFTER you have completed a complete physical and mental health check up. If you are on medication, keep taking it until told otherwise by your doctor.

If you die with this infestation inside of you - you will go to hell.

Get in touch with someone who has experience with a deliverance ministry.

When playing in the occult you will get burned and the Ouija board plays a big part in the world of the occult.

One other thing....depending what evil spirit you want to battle depends on the method. Some will laugh at you when you attempt to expel them with.... In the name of Jesus etc.... it takes a lot more than that. You can not exorcise the spirits alone and attempting to do this alone could be very dangerous for you.

The spirit of discernment is very powerful and even though I do not believe your full story (many reasons .... for one.... people who are truly under attack are very desperate and your words and emotions are not that) but anyway I have enclosed a pamphlet that will help you with your fight against evil spirits. Of course it only works if you have faith.

www.dropbox.com...

Word of caution: Those infested will need help when going through this pamphlet. Read through it a few times every week. Those infested can not complete this booklet - they can not get past page one.

This pamphlet is a start in the right direction.

God bless you.

My advice ..... stop playing in the occult and renounce all forms of the occult. You need to repent.

Yes just about all cultures have in the past and still do recognize the phenomena of demon possession and have measures to deal with it.

The bible, more precisely the gospels of Christ simply point out that Jesus had major authority over demons, that the demons knew who he was and often said so. The gospels also point out that the religious Jewish order had its own methods to cast out demons.

Conflict arouse when the Pharisaical order and its methods were put to shame by the ease with which Jesus cast out demons. To cover their azz as it were they sent a fact finding mission from headquarters to announce that Jesus cast out demons because he worked through the power of the head demon Beelzebub. Jesus responded by saying he was like a man that bound the strong man, satan, and was now pillaging his goods. Thus he represented a whole new order of things. He also put them on the spot asking them "If I cast out demons through Beelzebub then by what authority did your fathers cast out demons?" He had much more to say about this issue to them. The conflict about demons was simply part of a multifaceted attempt by the order to discredit Jesus in the face of their diminishing prestige and poor methods.

This lady does. She posted in my thread about a t.v. show she appeared on. She gives her contact info at the end of the post, and she works for free.

Lilith, huh? She's BAD news!!
www.biblicalarchaeology.org...

For 4,000 years Lilith has wandered the earth, figuring in the mythic imaginations of writers, artists and poets. Her dark origins lie in Babylonian demonology, where amulets and incantations were used to counter the sinister powers of this winged spirit who preyed on pregnant women and infants. Lilith next migrated to the world of the ancient Hittites, Egyptians, Israelites and Greeks. She makes a solitary appearance in the Bible, as a wilderness demon shunned by the prophet Isaiah. In the Middle Ages she reappears in Jewish sources as the dreadful first wife of Adam.

And here is more about her:

I hope you get the help you need.

Is this an actual question or just a mildly discombobulated troll of Christians?

First off, Have you ever considered what an exorcism is actually accomplishing? The removal of a demon?

Are demons like raccoons in the attic? Naturally occurring and just a nuisance? Then call the local pest control guy.

Are demons spiritual creatures? Unholy creatures? Biblical legions? Fallen angels? The unnatural spirit of soulless Nephilim who roam the earth rather than burn in hell?

Does the average guy have the ability and understanding to face demons?

Maybe your average agnostic on the street isn't quite in the mindset of "Hey! Maybe I'll head down to the national institute of nondenominational technology and get an associates degree in Demonology. Have a little exorcism gig on the side."

Not that I'm supporting tv Exorcism or false healings for money.

I just think it's a much more serious and life altering undertaking than most people would ever do.

Of course, if you believe in demons and actually need an exorcist, it seems you might try to overlook that dislike of Christians in order to get something done.

You might also go to kickstarter and propose that they create a non-christian exorcism trust. It could bequeath a special interest scholarship for aspiring non-Christian exorcists.

Dear Darkblade - stay away from the ouigi board. They are gateways to demon activity.

Are you a Christian? As a Christian you have the authority to rebuke all evil in the name of Jesus. I urge you to read up on this - because knowledge is power.

This stuff starts small but it will grow. Are you part of a church at all? Be careful with checking with a church as some ministers/priests/etc do not have the mindset that evil is as real as such. You have to find someone that is a Christian who knows their authority with Jesus. This is the type of person you need to contact. Such a person doesn't even need to be a church member.

For now when you wake in the middle of the night or feel like something is talking to you or you feel any kind of fear just speak the name of Jesus. Evil must obey the name of Jesus.

Do not feed any curiosity you may have in the meantime about evil or occult or even watch horror movies. Do not allow anything to feed the fear that you have and do not allow anything further to feed the evil.

I will pray for you. Let us know how it goes. You can pm me if you wish. xox

Any non denomination christian church can help you. They don't usually do brute force. For them it is simple, when christ died on cross and was dead for three days he bore all our sin and battled those demons for us. When he rose from the dead he broke the bonds sin and evil had on us.

Trust me, this battle was won with his blood. Simply ask Jesus into your heart, accept him as your lord and savior, confess that you are a sinner and repent of those and ask that he help you to not sin anymore. The minute you ask he is there. Evil cannot abide where he is. You will be free. Get a bible, read the new testament and proverbs.

If you need help with it seek any christian church. You can be free my friend and happy.

I will pray for you. Remember they cringe just hearing his name, Jesus.

The rite of exorcism can be asked to be prformed by contacting your local Catholic parish. They will commence a process of first establishing grounds for a trained exorcist to be summoned or not....usually from rome since it is not common for american or other nations to have this type of trained personnel available. Modern parishes shy from traditional latin rites.

you could research the rite of exorcism in detail......there is a plethora of information and formal books written when we still had a church.

If anything your local seminary will have material you can look over if given permission by the faculty to copy or read.

There really is a dying art of exorcism.

I used to read that stuff back when I wanted to become a priest...interesting material and full of many other rites and rituals priests used to study...very enriching.

Pick up a new roman missal. I like the Father lasance edition ....

Check it out, you'll learn something new. From: cicministry.org...

In 1977 I was in a ministry that specialized in inner healing and deliverance. People came to us from all over the country seeking release from hearing voices, addictions, emotional trauma due to past hurts and abuses, and many other forms of spiritual bondage. At the time our ministry was considered “cutting edge” in the world of spiritual warfare. Ours was a Christian community where people could come and live with other Christians to find healing.

About that time a woman from another state came to stay at our ministry center for a few days to receive prayer and deliverance. She had grown up in a family that was deeply involved in the occult and had been named after a Greek goddess. When she called us she was trying to get out of her occult bondage and was being attacked by evil spirits who did not want to let her go. They manifested themselves through her taunting us and making hissing sounds. We soon found out that the demons that tormented her were powerful and had no intention of leaving. Two of us took on the responsibility of ministering to her. After we had led her in some prayers, confronted some of the demons, and demanded them to leave in Jesus’ name, she found some relief.

The most dramatic event in our ministry to her came after one of our Tuesday night meetings. After most people had left she stayed for more prayer. Before we even got to her, she was taken over by a violent evil spirit. Her countenance changed, her voice altered, her face contorted and her hands became like claws. She let out a loud scream and charged at me, intending to gouge my face with her fingernails. As she screamed and raced across the room, I and the other man who had been ministering to her stood our ground and said, “Stop! in the name of Jesus.” When she got two feet from us she hit what seemed like an invisible wall and fell to the floor whimpering. We prayed with her and asked God to set her free.

We had encountered many cases of demonic manifestations in our ministry, but this was the most dramatic. As I look back on this incident now, what is most significant is not what happened that night, but what happened the next day. The next day she felt much better and asked to talk to us before leaving for home. She told me, “Bob, Satan is very scared of you. You have much power and authority.” What that statement and the event that led to it meant to me then was very different from how I understand it now. The difference is due to the “warfare” worldview I held then and the “providential” worldview I hold now. The way we interpret events is determined by our worldview. In this article I will discuss exorcism from the perspective of each of these worldviews.
