Our "leaders" aim to grab the attention and hearts of the lowest level of society, the "low-information" voters who get their information spoon-fed from government sources or government-supporting sources.
Where there used to be discourse and debate, there now supplants adverse opinions with denigration and false attribution.
How often have we heard that those who will not blindly follow the Obama Agenda are motivated by race instead of log[? How many of our press and progressive spokespeople laid their credibility on the promises of a Health Care Plan that was ill-conceived and ill=begotten?

The thing that strikes me (no pun intended) but does not surprise me is that this is almost entirely black on non-black violence and the MSM has until recently refused to identify the attackers as who they really are. I'm sick of hearing the term "boisterous / troubled youths."

Been waiting for a thread on this.
I agree -- race should never be a factor when it comes to sentencing. Assault is assault, murder is murder, rape is rape. I can think of scenarios where racism would be a relevant issue in a trial, such as if a jury is deliberating intent in a crime (ex. manslaughter vs. second degree murder). Sentencing, though, should be colorblind.
By ignoring the racial aspect of crimes like the knock-out game/'polar bear hunting,' law enforcement is failing to fulfill their duty to protect the community. If citizens are aware of a pattern in victims/perpetrators, they can take precautions and use heightened awareness in vulnerable situations.
Political-correctness is at the heart of this issue. The idea that we should rely solely on law enforcement for protection is also a part of it. Clearly, an army-sized police force is not enough to prevent this type of behavior in New York. Sadly, the first person to use a firearm to defend against this kind of thuggery will probably end up as the next George Zimmerman.

What is it with the inner city ...?
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Wednesday that some of the attacks were being investigated as hate crimes. The suspects in the Brooklyn attacks have all been black teens, police said.
State Assemblyman Dov Hikind told the station, "It's 'knockout,' and it happens to be a Jew in each and every case."
Other "knockout" attack victims in Brooklyn include a 20-year-old man from Israel and a 12-year-old boy who was attacked on his way to Hebrew school.
An assistant police chief reportedly said more police have been deployed since the attacks began in October. In a community meeting between black and Jews in Brooklyn's Crown Heights neighborhood, many present reportedly said young African-Americans need to be educated about bias crimes.
A series of unprovoked attacks on Jews in New York City could be part of a disturbing new game among inner-city youths called the “Knockout” game or “Get the Jew.”
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is looking into a series of attacks on Jews in Brooklyn, but videos of gangs playing the game are cropping up all over the country.
A recent string of attacks tied to a dangerous game called “Knockout” -- where unsuspecting residents are targeted and sucker-punched – is being investigated as possible hate crimes.
New York police are looking into the growing trend, WPIX reports, after attacks in predominately Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn.
New York City police authorities are investigating a series of unprovoked physical attacks in public places on people who are Jewish, in the form of what is called “the knockout game.”
The way the game is played, one of a number of young blacks decides to show that he can knock down some stranger on the streets, preferably with one punch, as they pass by. Often, some other member of the group records the event so that a video of that “achievement” is put on the Internet to be celebrated.
The victim's daughter said she was walking along in broad daylight when a young African-American male knocked her down. He didn't take anything, she said, and didn't seem interested in anything but hitting her as hard as he could before running off.
Nothing there about it being perpetrated by black kids either. Nope. Total cover-up. What a scandal.
GIVE ME A BREAK. This is all over the news. Why pretend that there is some grand plot to suppress news of these incidents when there obviously isn't one?
Spookybelle
I'm curious how the OP found out about it if it's being covered up?
Seems a bit odd.
How can you link to something that isn't being reported?

my wife is part black and I have many black friends from over the years. None are the ghetto, hoodrat type like all these thugs doing this and mob stealing.
WHat is it with the inner cuty young black male.
RickyD
I can't wait for the day the CCW carrier is targeted...and when its over and a group of young thu...I mean troubled youths are all layed around leaking, it should be nationally covered so its clear what the result can be.
InverseLookingGlass
I see no information in your post to indicate that these incidents are more frequent and the news is being suppressed. Sporadic is a fair characterization. So easy to fire up white fears of big blackie. Ever think there may be a deep cultural flaw there?

The truth is, it's a hard place to climb out of. The problem right now is they're leaving it to the conservative media to report ... And they're all too happy to associate the blame with blacks being the problem instead of just the perps. As others have opined in this thread, that's not the 'cause' of the issues ... but in the absence of a better target, I can guess where the finger of blame is going to point too.
Excellent post, brother.
