Hi All,

www.telegraph.co.uk...

This post is just for fun, unless you live in India.

India is planning to put its rising population of primates on the pill to tackle the growing "monkey menace" in its towns and cities, government wildlife officials have confirmed. Thousands of red-bottomed Rhesus Macaques or Bhandar monkeys are the scourge of New Delhi, where they roam through government buildings, chew Internet cables, bite the unwary carrying food and steal from people's homes.

Like I said it sounds funny unless you live in India. New Delhi sounds like Detroit except in Detroit it's not monkeys it's.....well you know.

Delhi's deputy mayor was killed when he was knocked from his balcony by clambering monkeys in 2007.
(?! what ?!)

Earlier this year officials from the Central Zoo Authority collaborated with the National Primate Centre in California to develop a new strategy with the Wildlife Institute of India. The researchers in California recommended a programme of oral contraceptives, female sterilisation and vasectomies, officials said.
Now Indian officials are exploring ways to administer the contraceptives and the likely impact of the drugs on primate behaviour before pressing ahead. One official said a mixed approach is likely to be adopted in Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills where thousands of monkeys patrol the main roads and terrorise people in the hill towns.

Sooooo....it is what it is. The world is just too crazy.

That's what happens when animals' habitats are no more they are forced to share ours or perish. It sounds like a difficult task, but a necessary one.

Yes, finally some common sense. Here we just cull and shoot. Animals have rights too and should also have health care.

And if there is need for money, end taxation and tax the Banks 5-8% and enjoy world wide abundance. End of Story.

It'll never work, Momkeys do what they always do, and stick the pill up their arse.

Why don't they just teach them the rythmn method?...easier than getting them to remember to take a pill, I would have thought...

You mean like this?

That monkey has the rhythmic opening bars for 'The Kinks' 'You really got me' ..he's now learning the other chord, while he thinks of a name for the band, Naah, not the 'The Monkeys' too obvious. He's also a bit pissed at the humans laughing. He'll probably call the band 'The Sex Pistols' in revenge.
