Cop fires at minivan full of kids after traffic-stop scuffle in New Mexico

The big question right now is

Was the cop justified in shooting at the van????

I've watched the vid several times and I don't know... to me it looks like things got way out of hand on everyone's part... cops are jumpy enough as it is and when the 14 yo comes running around the van... that had to put the officer on the defensive... you see him go after the boy with a Taser in hand... right before he smashed the window.

My take .... the passengers were damn lucky to be alive... provoking the officer(s) bad move... the struggle only made things worse... and then driving off...

Say what you will about rights being violated, that's not for me to judge... What I will say is we've all seen stories where someone pulled a stunt like this and officers responded with deadly force...
