Hi. I just want to make sure something is clarified.
In this thread:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
JadeStar said this:

Even KellyPrettyBear (who is a hardcore UFOs as alien contact believer)
admits its a balloon.

I thought I'd clear something up. I'm not a "hardcore UFO as alien
contact believer".

I'm not a 'believer' in anything. UFO's or anything else for that matter.
I make observations. Just like anyone else. Yes, some of those observations
use a trained sense that has a certain validity and a certain margin for error.

For such a 'hardcore UFO as alien contact believer' here is how I break things down:

"UFO Phenomenon" ----------- Actual Explanation --------------- Possible Percent
Bright light in sky --------------- Planet Venus, etc. ---------------- 80%
Aircraft-like light ---------------- Is an aircraft ---------------------- 10%
Unlikely light in the sky----------Rare phenomenon ------------------5%
Impossible light in sky -----------Spiritual phenomenon -------------3%
Obvious UFO -----------------------Military black ops craft -----------1.9%
Actual UFO ------------------------Actual UFO --------------------------0.1%

Ok, now lets do abductions.

Type ------------------------------- Actual Explanation -----------------Possible Percent
Standard Abduction ------------- Sleep paralysis / Nightmare ------90%
Really Vivid Abduction --------- Spiritual abduction -----------------5%
Actual Abduction -----------------MILAB---------------------------------4.9%
Alien Abduction ------------------Actual Alien Abduction ------------0.1%

Ok, now lets do spiritual experiences.

Type ------------------------------- Actual Explanation -----------------Possible Percent
Standard spiritual experience --Neurological phenomenon --------80%
Vivid spiritual experience -------Actual spiritual phenomenon ----19.9%
World class experience ----------Highly trained mystic --------------0.1%

There you go. I'm a raving UFO believer. These are example numbers
and don't cover all categories. For example maybe 1 in 5 people
is being actively harvested via parasite... that falls under "Vivid
spiritual experience". But again those are rough numbers and rough
categories.

But this stuff is worth talking about.. as it's real. And it doesn't take very much
of that '4.9% or 19.9% or 0.1%" to make huge waves in the world.

Ok, I am sorry I misunderstood you earlier. I read much of your previous posts which featured spirtual beings from the Pleiades and some amazing stories and assumed you believed all of it.

Wow, big assumption.

Given you're both fairly new to ATS, JadeStar...perhaps be careful about throwing labels around. It ain't cool and can be inferred as ignorance. I know this isn't the case.

KellyPrettyBear, This type of thing can be done on the related thread, or even via PM. It doesn't require a brand new thread....but was still a very very entertaining analysis of yourself.

I actually love what you've both brought to ATS recently. It has been refreshing.

Wow so reality is you are really a very pessimistic person, who knew lol. I certainly thought the opposite. I too think this should have been a pm. It is hard to do this stuff on tablet lol.

Oh thanks.. but I thought my categories
might spark discussion.. about how other
people break things down.

I'd wager money, that despite all the
'crazy talk' about the margins, that
many people would also say that many
occurrences have mundane explanations.

I'd also like to re-iterate for Jade Star however,
for anyone else who thinks that I'm disavowing
any of my words --- I'm not.

Yes, i'm 100% convinced due to 52 years of life
experience, that humans are living in a subspace
pot hole, and are being harvested by malevolent
beings -- which in part we have created -- another
post coming about that. And I do not apologize
for that.. and related observations..

But hey --- a puppy is nearly ALWAYS a puppy;
a good person a good person.. a bad person
a bad person. Up is up and down is down.

But there is a currently unknown 'underbelly'
to science --- that's all... call it mysticism,
call it fringe or pseudo.. it's "out there".
And hopefully we'll understand it properly
some day.

But until that day.. I'll do my best to illuminate
things a bit, according to my observations..
and either history will smile on me, or it won't,
but in either case I'll be safely dead no doubt.

Yes.. I believe in death.. it would be silly not
to... now will *I* live on in some form..? Oh
sure.. but pretty much ALL of 'this' personality
will die.. and good riddance to it.. it's had
it's time in the sun...that part of me that
sees and knows will still exist.. as that is
part of the entire infrastructure of everything..
but anime loving, animal loving.. ATS posting
me will be dead and buried in a few decades
tops. And I'm grateful. Just grateful.

I'm not a pessimist. I have high hopes for the human race. I believe
that anything is possible.. and exists as true somewhere.. but not
necessarily here.. not necessarily now.

And please don't take those 0.1% as 'I'm not a believer'. I'm 100%
convinced that there are alien abductions.. alien abductions..
and all SORTS of amazing stuff.

But it doesn't happen every time you go to the store for bread.
There are other explanations that are true more often..

I'm trying to demonstrate a balanced mind.. Not being a skeptic.

And this post was NOT aimed at JadeStar.. it just mentioned her,
and it was such a good example that I quoted her. Fairs fair..
she quoted me! I hold JadeStar in high regard for attempting to
be scientifically accurate.

This was meant to be a public post. I PM the dickens out of people..
this was not supposed to be a PM.. it was supposed to be a
conversation starter..

But yes, I suppose it did come across as 'personal'. I'm not always
good knowing proper social etiquette.

Thanks.

What do you base those numbers on? I think even mufon which is rather conservative in reporting ufo&alien phenomena has much higher percentages than that.

Why do you get upset about the label believer? Is it shameful for you? I wear the label with pride.

Now YOU make me smile. You have managed to mislabel me 100%
of the time. Now THAT must be some sort of record!

I'm not ashamed of ANYTHING. I live without any regrets.. other than
not being a good enough husband for my disabled wife. .and I'm
working on that.. slowly becoming a better man.. she obsesses
about sweeping and cleaning and things that are just a bit foreign
to my nature.. it's very grounding for me I must admit.

I'm NOT ashamed of any of my observations.. I don't call them
beliefs.. as they are NOT beliefs except in the most narrow
sense. My observations take sensory input and intellectual
analysis and comes up with an observation that I'm willing
to stand by, provisionally, as having a significant amount of
reality to it. A solid hypothesis based upon direct experience
examining nature. Then I test the hypothesis as best as I
am able. Should the testing indicate I've made an error,
I say "I've made an error".

I'm not interested in belief. But I'm not ashamed of even
one statement I've ever posted here or said anywhere.
Sometimes I'm dead wrong. But hardly ever.. I'm famous
at work for being right in the high ninety percents
stretching over years and years.

But if this talk is too fancy for your linking.. I'll simplify
it..

sure.. "I believe".

In a qualified and reasoned manner.

And do you realize that 0.1% is 100 real UFO sightings
per year, if there are 100,000 reports? That's a #-load
of real UFO's that I'm not denying.. what is so tight-ass
about that? That's potentially 100 Roswells per year..
really now.. math is also good..

Everyone is "abducted" physically and in other ways, some remember and some don't, and some get such a strong jolt with recognition of family, they work hard on themselves.

Best thread I've seen on this:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Pretty much what it's all about, minus he doesnt take away my belief in things, and was on his forum telling him that there is no such thing as shredders for the renegades. There would be no point anyway. For every moment is a snapshot that is infinite in itself. You're always being born, always taking your first steps. What is time travel to someone outside of time. Its taking a dusty old dvd off the shelf, putting it in the dvd player and picking the scene you wish to enter. Metaphor alert! But...have been shown nearly that. Now, everything always exists, each moment. Everything has been, is now being, and will be. So why would anyone think that someone could be shredded, reformatted and come out a new spanking being. If so, and if they wisened up and made the grade of Love, they'd still be shown, would know, all those past steps that didn't work out and have some extra knowledge wisdom from it that would be shared with the whole.

To me, its more of "test for those who think they can get away with shredding someone" than an actual shredding or killing or harming a soul.

But then there are some areas where he speaks metaphor himself. So what does he really mean by that. I've poked him with a stick, shook that tree and tried to get the answers, but I also respect him too much to want to insist he retract that nonsense immediately.

Everyone counts, we come in with bungee cords.

What I don't understand is why this is even allowed as a learning ground. The means don't justify the end for me. You can't do anything you want to learn, take short cuts, learn faster through harsh things. This should never be allowed. And since I was able to express as a child, have been. And even while I have faith in Goodness and Teamwork above, still don't agree with this at all.

I've been sensing the counsels and saying the means don't justify the ends since teen years, and refusing to past test, telling them the average human is where its at. And if its not for all but for the few, its not worth it, its evil to me. If the few can notice and find some secret way, that most can't then everyone should try to fail, (not by harming others but by refusing to play along). That was what I was like. Sickened by the news, staying up half the night living through everyones tragedies and murders, and holding candles to them, horrified by this even being allowed to exist ever.

And I still don't see how anyone could ever allow these shortcuts in learning.

Wow you are pretty high strung there. Just relax a bit.

Unfortunately for me, John Ventre was there and was one of those good apples. He’s the retired State Security and Public Affairs Director for UPS, and currently serves as the Pennsylvania State Director of MUFON.

“There’s no doubt they’re real,” he said of UFOs. “Let’s put it this way – 80 percent of the cases we get can be identified. About 10 percent are people hoaxing us, but then you get that 10 percent of good cases, and probably 3 to 5 percent are real UFOs.

www.eriereader.com...

And yes MUFON is very conservative in reporting actual ufos because they assume everyone is inexperienced enough not to be able to discern planes, planets, meteors, etc.

You are not a believer, you are a skeptic. I was in your shoes too when I started, then read up and realised it was all bs and actual ufos are much higher. I wont say percentages cause I hate speculating.

3 to 5 percent is a hell of a lot more than .1 right? (eye rolling)

That thread you referenced was very chaotic and I don't know
how many pages of it I'd have to read through, to get even a
glimmer of value from it. However you presumably have
studied it.

Can you present 3 cogent points from that entire thread and
explain why those points are something highly worth
considering?

Just so you don't misunderstand, I'm giving you a space to
to shine on this... you have displayed immense beauty
in some of your threads.. beauty of an emotional /
devotional hue which I dearly appreciate.

That was very funny! Thanks. Oh I suppose that was a bit
feisty.. you label me some new thing every post.. which
is fine with me.. I was just curious if you had noticed
yourself doing that.

Now a skeptic? Ok, I hate to do this, as math isn't my
favorite subject (was just a B+ math student due to
boredom with it).

Here are the numbers:

Impossible light in sky -----------Spiritual phenomenon -------------3%
Obvious UFO -----------------------Military black ops craft -----------1.9%
Actual UFO ------------------------Actual UFO --------------------------0.1%

Add that up, and it comes to ... guess what? I hear it coming....
couldn't have planned it better.... 5%.

Same as MUFON. At the maximum high end even.

I suppose I should mention, that I'm not adverse to some of those
black ops craft being able to achieve FTL even. They would count
as 'UFO's' if they visited another planet. And if you've read any of
my posts at all.. I don't differentiate between spiritual and physical
much when it comes to UFOs.

Math is good...

;-)

Has this been beat to death enough yet? I'd like to move on..
and I'd like to be the one who decides for myself if I'm a skeptic
or a believer or just a mostly rational human being, if it's ok
with you.

I'm not a 'believer' in anything.

This is simply nonsensical, so nonsensical that puts anything you have to say after that in a situation of irrelevancy...

If you BELIEVE that (and you no basis to come to that conclusion factually
based upon the very exact definitions and numbers presented),
then I recommend you skip any posts that I make in order to be fully
observant with your statement of belief.

When did I label you anything other than a skeptic? My first post in this thread simply implied there is nothing wrong with being called a believer. Reread that post if you need to. I am not JadeStar either.

Thanks. But I dont really see why you need to break down the 5% into various categories. UFOs means unidentified flying object. I honestly have no idea where you get that info from since you havent provided any source yet.

I do not need to believe it to state the fact. Action is the result of thought, that thought is the result of the belief that action will occur. Since reality only exists on your own mind and unique to the individual what distinguishes individuals is the set of beliefs some on whom we decide to call them knowledge...

I don't actually disagree with you on your definition.

Now I call what I do "observation" and of necessithy
there is a subjective element, which I have controls
in place to minimize, but it's there of course.

So if you wish to call THAT 'belief' I have no problem
with that.

But there is a ton of difference between decades of
careful work, study and experiment, using something
approaching a scientific method than say someone
who picks up a David Icke book and suddenly proclaims
that they "believe in reptiles".

There is "high quality, nuanced belief" and there is
trash belief.

Perhaps you completely disagree with my observations
and methods, but I would hope that you understand
my point about the quality of a 'carefully crafted
belief with some measure of evidence' which is
provisionally utilized and improved on as possible
and pure rubbish belief.

That was my point, and I'm sorry if that wasn't
obvious. My bad then.

I posted it here: Regarding Souls, Parasites and Spirits

If you read it, you might see a correspondence with 'recycling'.
But I myself have never observed any 'soul recycling technology'
that sounds pretty far out to me.. but of course other people
take my 'spiritual material' as far out too..so to each their
own.
