Reality is that to get one's knickers in a twist over what others are doing with their naughty bits is unseeming at best...and suspect at worst!

I dont care what someone does sexually (despite your PC-attempt to pretend I do). I care about ideology. I care about the person who says "Gender is a choice, homosexuality is not a choice!". Thats counter-factual, counter-science, counter-reality. Gender is not a choice its a biological reality. And homosexuality sometimes is a choice.

Who says gender is a choice? Direct quote please.

No offers?

who says gender is a choice?

Facebook in fact now says "Gender is a Choice" by letting you choose from dozens of different "gender" types.

Really? You think so?
Seems to me it's about self-identification.

11 shocking quoutes from the Soviet Unions highest ranking defector

1. On today’s Russia “The very idea that the Soviet Union was defeated is disinformation in itself. The Soviet Union changed its name and dropped its façade of Marxism, but it remained the samesamoderzhaviye, the historical Russian form of autocracy in which a tsar is running the country with the help of his political police…Russia today is the first intelligence dictatorship in history. It is a brand new form of totalitarianism, which we are not yet familiar with. Now the KGB, rechristened FSB, is openly running Russia.”

10. On “Operation Ares,” the Soviet plot to build U.S. leftist anti-Vietnam resistance “In 1972, I had a long discussion with Andropov about this operation in his dark, cavernous KGB office, which breathed secrecy from every inch of its thick walls, just as his “Ares” did. “Our ‘Ares’ turned America against her own government,” Andropov started off in his soft voice. It damaged America’s foreign policy consensus, poisoned her domestic debate, and built a credibility gap between America and European public opinion that was wide and deep. Now all we had to do was to continue planting the seeds of “Ares” and water them day after day after day. Eventually, American leftists would seize upon our “Ares” and would start pursuing it of their own accord. In the end, our original involvement would be forgotten, and “Ares” would take on a life of its own. That was how human nature worked, Andropov explained. Our “Ares” would change America forever.”

What do you know, another ex-KGB elite claiming that modern progressivism grew from seeds planted by the Soviet Union. But they are all just making up lies to sell books, right Junior?

No, they're claiming they funded some US leftists, which is hardly surprising. Of course you're free to think that they actually won the cold war, and that's not just the bluster of wounded pride, but you might like to look into it in a bit more detail. Certainly a bit more detail than The Blaze is likely to afford you.

This notion the right has of endless grievance is very amusing. If you actually had to live under a real tyranny I bet you'd crap yourselves, given how terrified you are of a phantom one at the moment.

I remember a local daycare center removing the "stars" system as not to "hurt the feelings of those who didnt get stars

remember in "atlas shrugged" by Ayn Rand

Entitlement
“The man who refuses to judge, who neither agrees nor disagrees, who declares that there are no absolutes and believes that he escapes responsibility, is the man responsible for all the blood that is now spilled in the world. Reality is an absolute, existence is an absolute, a speck of dust is an absolute and so is a human life. Whether you live or die is an absolute. Whether you have a piece of bread or not, is an absolute. Whether you eat your bread or see it vanish into a looter's stomach, is an absolute"

"The plan was that everybody in the factory would work according to his ability, but would be paid according to his need."

"What was it they'd always told us about the vicious competition of the profit system, where men had to compete for who'd do a better job than his fellows? Vicious, wasn't it? Well, they should have seen what it was like when we all had to compete with one another for

who'd do the worst job possible. There's no surer way to destroy a man than to force him into a spot where he has to aim at not doing his best, where he has to struggle to do a bad job, day after day. That will finish him quicker than drink or idleness or pulling stick-ups for a living.
But there was nothing else for us to do except to fake unfitness. The one accusation we feared was to be suspected of ability. Ability was like a mortgage on you that you could never pay off. And what was there to work for? You knew that your basic pittance would be given to you anyway, whether you worked or not - your 'housing and feeding allowance,' it was called - and above that pittance, you had no chance to get anything, no matter how hard you tried"

Nothing in your examples suggests a top-down conspiracy to impose language norms on these people, or by them. Ironically it's you who is doing that.

I must apologize for my lateness to the party but seeing I am from "down under" you will forgive my tardiness.

arcofcc.freeservers.com...

Marxist Theory had predicted that if war came to Europe that the working class in every European country would rise in revolt , but that theory proved wrong. When the First World War began in 1914, the workers loyalty to their country proved stronger than so called, "Class Consciousness." They willingly put on their uniforms French, or German, Austrian or Russian or British and marched off by the millions to fight each other. In 1917, a Marxist Revolution did occur in Russia but it failed to spread to Western Europe. Again, contradicting Orthodox Marxist Theory.

William Lind: At the wars end, Marxist Theorists had to confront the question what had gone wrong. Antonio Gramsci of Italy and Georg Lukacs in Hungary believed they had the answer. Gramsci and Lukacs argued that Western Culture had blinded the Working Class to its' true Marxist Class interest. Before a Marxist Revolution could take place, Western Culture had to be destroyed.

In 1919, Lukacs, who was considered the most brilliant Marxist Theorist since Marx himself, ask who will save us from Western Civilization. That same year, 1919, Lukacs became Deputy Commissar for Culture in the Bolshevik Bela Kun government in Hungary. Where he launched program—culture terrorism. As part that program, Lukacs introduced a radical sex education program into the Hungarian Schools. Political Correctness as we know it was already beginning to take form.

Laszlo Pasztor, Nat. Fed. of American Hungarians: He tried to actually undermine the Unity of the family and that was one of the reasons that he tried to introduce sex education.

Narrator: Laszlo Pasztor, a leader in the Hungarian resistance against the Communist takeover of Hungary after World War II, explains why children were targeted.
Laszlo Pasztor: It's, always, much tougher to convert an adult, you know, to do something he was taught not to do.

Narrator: The Program left great residual effects on Hungary.

Laszlo Pasztor: The only thing that we were permitted to accept was Bela Kun concepts what they were teaching that was it. Free thinking was a very big sin.

libertarianalliance.wordpress.com...

The aim of the meeting was to clarify the concept of, and give concrete effect to, a Marxist cultural revolution. Amongst those present were Georg Lukacs (a Hungarian aristocrat, son of a banker, who had become a Communist during World War I ; a good Marxist theoretician he developed the idea of ‘Revolution and Eros’ – sexual instinct used as an instrument of destruction) and Willi Munzenberg (whose proposed solution was to ‘organise the intellectuals and use them to make Western civilisation stink. Only then, after they have corrupted all its values and made life impossible, can we impose the dictatorship of the proletariat’) ‘It was’, said Ralph de Toledano (1916-2007) the conservative author and co-founder of the ‘National Review’, a meeting ‘perhaps more harmful to Western civilization than the Bolshevik Revolution itself.’

No oneis trying to argue that Russia didn't infiltrate or propagandise in the West. But if you think the entirety of liberalism is a colossal Soviet plot, or that its goal is synonymous with a few of its crazier outliers, then you're not looking at the evidence properly.

One might as well say that the whole of American conservatism is a racist plot funded by the Nazis.

Those two claims are not equivocal. A convincing case can be made (for example, this thread) that American progressivism was born out of social movements which were seeded by Soviet propaganda. At the very least, it can be proven that progressivism began during the Cold War.

American conservatism, though, predates Nazi Germany by about 150 years.

Seems to me it's about self-identification.

So rather than being born as a gender, you can choose a gender you identify as?

When one is compelled to spend one's formative years trying to sort one's self out vis a vis current societal concepts of 'normal', I can see that it might be tough to find a fit. Forgive the appropriation of voice...but I would think that is pretty easy to figure out. I know where I sit on the sliding scale of gender, but I can empathise with those who are not blessed with absolutes. I like to call that 'tolerance', as opposed to 'a Commie plot'.

You are saying that gender is not an absolute but rather a choice. You are entitled to your view, I´m merely establishing that this is in fact the "progressive" view.

Good point. "There are no absolutes" and "there is no right and wrong" are some of the favorite sayings of this crowd (see last post above mine as a current example). The result is of course, a complete distortion of reality and subsequent inability to deal with reality...which is of course, why all socialist systems eventually crumble. Its inherent in the mentality.

Of course, in the case of amateur "progressives" (I very much hesitate to use that word, because this kind of thinking is actually regressive in every sense of the word...regression to childhood, regression to stone age tribalism), they`ll apply the "there is no right or wrong" only when it is about something they disagree with. Talk about the PC-cause then suddenly there very much is a right-and-wrong.

Real Tyranny develops incrementally and under the guise of nice sounding ideals. Nobody would support tyranny if it didnt sound and look nice on the outside.

Presumably you mean equivalent. And you're utterly wrong about American progressivism. The American Progressive party itself was founded in 1912 and the progressive movement had been going for a good couple of decades before that.

Do you really think Soviet Russia invented women's suffrage, say? Just so they could bring down the west? Because they would have needed a time machine.

?

Is gender a choice or is it an absolute, in your opinion? You won't answer the question directly, I wonder why. Instead of answering you say "End of Discussion". If your previous thread habits are anything to go by, you`ll be back later to comment on some other item, as if this one were "settled".

Good that we have you to locate its stealthy march, hidden as it is in such concepts as being a bit considerate to people.

You guys were there waving your silly flag and crying about progressivism when women got the vote, when they stopped making black people use different bathrooms and you're still here now. Your absolutism is a sham.

Im one of the most liberal folks you can imagine with relaxed views on immigration, abortion, drugs, sex...a real "live and let live" kind of guy. And yet, just because I dare question the thoroughly orwellian implications of PC, you categorize me as a racist and chauvinist.

Your post is of great help to the many readers who happen upon this thread wondering about the foul tactics of the Dark-Red-PC-Brigade.
