Doom Porn for February 22, 2014 - Viking Apocolypse

The end of the world was signalled in York last night as a horn was blown to herald the beginning of the Viking version of the apocalypse.

What on earth possessed (and I'm using that term on purpose) someone to go blow a darn Viking End of the World Trumpet?? Anyways ... highlights below and at the link.

I've been waiting for some doom porn to brighten up my day. One of these days one of these doom prophecies will come true. Until then, man will keep coming up with new dates until someone gets it right. If we are on God's time then I expect for the final doom to be a series of events over a period of time and not just one fatal doom event. Earthquakes, food/water shortages, asteroid impact, solar blast, hurricane(s), pandemic(s), zombie apocalypse, World War 3, Fukushima, Yellowstone eruption, and whatever else that I'm forgetting could take us all out over a period of time.

Every one keeps calling it doom porn and it might get is own forum instead of predictions and prophecies. Doom Porn! Or since this one has a date of doom maybe The final countdown forum? Lol

What I always wondered is... would old world (European) gods and beasties have much sway here in the new world (Americas) I mean here in the US we Natives have a whole slue of gods and ghoulies who've been around every bit as long, in some cases longer...

One would think that if a Norse interloper came trespassing, per say, wouldn't the local gods object with extreme prejudice?

if so who would win such a fight... At least my gods have the home field advantage

Great news, I really needed this gloom porn. I was starting to get the DTs.

I just gave the cutting sheet to the butcher for our half cow. We usually get a quarter but they had a half this year. I was worried there would be no doom porn to justify our bigger purchase.. I feel much better now.

I cleaned up an old early nineteen hundreds grain mill I got from my parents basement. It was about four hours work but it is a nice unit. I ground some rice into flour last night to see how it worked, now new gloom porn today....I feel so happy. I could use the grainmill to grind coffee beans

Oh well, S&F for making me happy and giving me some food for excuses for things I have done this week.

The article claims that "three freezing winters would follow each other with no summers in between."

This year's summer was one of the hottest in a long time. That kind of blows that theory out of the water.

As for lack of morals, I don't see it. Morals may appear to be in decline, but thats only because psychopaths run the planet. Get away from the corporate world, and main stream media views and propaganda, theres plenty of good left.

I could pick it apart forever, but if you can find just one inconsistency in it, then its not happening.
