HHS Admits: Obamacare plans will cost MORE 'in many cases'

Soon after Obama's miracle announcement that people may be able to 'legally' keep old insurance plans because He will be 'allowing' companies to continue offering the old plans, the HHS sent out letters to state insurance commissioners confirming the new master plan.

In the letter, HHS has admitted that many 'new' plans are much more expensive, even with subsidies !!

Everything is coming out in to the open (maybe).

And this new transfer of blame will not help IMO.

The state commissions will have to re-approve all those old policies and maybe not all of them either. The politicians will blame future problems on the insurance companies.

Obama's Thursday press conference was just another act.

The whole charade is adding to the confusion and massive distrust.

Obama is claiming ‘enforcement discretion’ as a reason to just declare this new twist, because He is allowing the old policies to remain 'legal' as in 'no enforcement' of the law for a year.

And we still don't know if this will be an Executive Order or a Congressional Act, or an amendment of the HHS regulations. This is still not clear.

The Obama administration has directly conceded for the first time that 'in many cases,' health insurance plans offered through government exchanges are more expensive than plans consumers bought before the Affordable Care Act became law – even when government subsidies are figured in.

In a letter to state insurance commissioners, Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight director Gary Cohen wrote on Thursday that one reason for the new Obamacare measures the president announced Thursday is that millions of consumers receiving cancellation letters from their insurers are learning the Affordable Care Act options are in fact less affordable.

'Although affected individuals and small businesses may access quality health insurance coverage through the new Health Insurance Marketplaces,' Cohen wrote, 'in many cases with federal subsidies, some of them are finding that such coverage would be more expensive than their current coverage, and thus they may [be] dissuaded from immediately transitioning to such coverage.'

The "Letter" is in the article...
Revealed: Obamacare plans will cost MORE 'in many cases' even with government subsidies, officials admit for the first time

W-o-W !!

Ya see, I kept saying that when he came out with this stupid bill before it became law. Everyone I talked to said...oh noes its soo great....it will be cheaper for everyone! The health care will flow like wine and the premiums will be so abundant from insurance companies that they will flock to you like the salmon of Capistrano.

Everyone will get cheaper health care....blah blah blah.

You are witnessing the raping of the middle class, the bolstering of the rich, and the creation of a new class called the uber poor.

Every time Obamy opens his mouth it all sounds like blahbiddy blah blah B*S* lips.

Maybe they should re-name it the "Un-Affordable Care Act".

Mandated at that.

This guy is shooting from the hip- day by day, because his master plan is nothing more than a social studies project.

If I was the teacher- Id give him a big fat F- and hold him back a grade.

Because of Obama- Millions of people are now holding their D*** in their hands.

This guy is an absolute failure, and he needs to be impeached, PERIOD.

AND I MEAN...PERIOD!!!

If you want Obama- you can keep him- cause the majority have had enough. Hes messing with peoples very livelihood.

Everything about Obama"care" makes me sick. I'm all for getting more people health insurance, but this isn't the way to do it. This is nothing more than Obama and Company taking care of their elite business friends. Like Michelle's friend who got paid big time to make a website that doesn't even work.

It's a waste of money, time and energy. Obama should be impeached for such a gross misuse of resources! That money could have gone to people who truly needed it. The money could have paid for homes for the homeless, food and even regular healthcare. But no, it goes into the pockets of the greedy.

I'm sorry, I'm just sick of Obama and everything going on right now.

You all think this was/is fun?

Just wait until all this happens all over again next only x10 because all the employer plans are going to go poof alongside the individual plans.

Now, I don't like the insurance companies at all. They thought they saw a chance to have a forced clientele and let themselves get bought off into Obamacare like all the rest of the stupid people in this country, but if they're smart, they'll stick it to the government good and hard by sending out policy cancellation notices well in advance of the midterms next year. Call it an October surprise.

Cloward-Piven

The premise of the Cloward-Piven collective/anti-capitalist gospel decried "individual mobility and achievement," celebrated organized labor, fostered the principle that "if each finally found himself in the same relative economic relationship to his fellows ... all were infinitely better off."

The duo taught that if you flooded the welfare rolls and bankrupted the cities and ultimately the nation, it would foster economic collapse, which would lead to political turmoil so severe that socialism would be accepted as a fix to an out-of-control set of circumstances.

Do we need to even examine this further?

Is it clear at this point that the ACA is not about healthcare?
Oh, yes it is crystal clear now, maybe the chaos and confusion
is an added benefit alongside of the destruction of free market
healthcare.

declare this new twist, because He is allowing the old policies
to remain 'legal' as in 'no enforcement' of the law for a year.

And we still don't know if this will be an Executive Order or a

According to recent reports, Obama has marginalized his staff
leaving them 'powerless' and he will not listen to anyone.

If he does something that is against the law, who is going
to challenge him? Anyone?

This is looking rather scary imo. Shadows of Hitler dancing
across the wall.

Sorry.

You are right- nobody can afford to keep him.

This guy is making it harder and harder for me to take democrats seriously anymore.

They ALL preached upon the wise teachings of Obama-and how the rest of us were just a bunch of fools who wanted
the uninsured to just die.

Seems like hes the one who wants people to just die- 5million plus people now on their own- with no fix in sight because you know damned well the insurance companies cant just turn around and do buisness as they were before- it took them years to prepare for this mess. It seems as if the only ones actually prepared for this law- was the insurance companies- now Obama is doing a complete 180 on them.

They need to scrap this plan before even more people get left holding the bag. Wonder when the black market medical doctors are going to be out for hire?

GAWD this administration is just so inept- it makes me want to vomit all over my crazy democrat uncles face.

Never again- NEVER EVER EVER- will I listen to a liberal- they have all lost credibility.
All those years of name calling- bs spewing comments- and flat out lies is enough for me to think they
are no smarter than a sack of rocks.

This nation is doomed for if people continue to trust these morons.

The U.S. is at a crossroads right now.

Obama is obviously not stable.

He is holding grudges and is extremely jealous.

He is also very very angry and dangerous.

He will fight all the way to *Get Even* with whoever and whatever he thinks is in his way.

It's almost like a Gila Monster that bites and won't let go till sundown !!

And that is how is going to become soo unaffordable that healthy able people and productive working class will rather pay the fines than paying insurance, and remember those are the pool that ACA needs in order to make it.

But the poor and needy sure are happy with what they are getting, Medicaid is going to become very popular, get ready for the state taxes increases.

No doubt.

But thankfully I live in Nevada- where there is no State Tax.

But I guess that can change ass well too.

-Being that its our fault that the nation has Reid. (sorry about that btw)-

Yep, I was rather shocked to see this new piece by Politico!
Dangerous is a good descriptive at this point.

according to more than 50 interviews with current and former
secretaries, White House staffers and executive branch officials,
who described his Cabinet as a restless nest of ambition, fits-and-starts
achievement and power-jockeying under a shadow of unfulfilled promise.

Ive got insurance through my employer, it will go up 53% in 2014... yes, I realize I'm one of the "lucky" ones

Get ready for the market to take a dive early next year, ya know, to give Americans a bigger story to b!tch about.. a noble distraction.

the dow has had record highs 36 times this year. 36 TIMES!!! ... in a recession!!!???

but we aren't screwed... noooooo, living the dream man. living the dream... if your dream consists of the most blatantly corrupt system ever dreamed up running its course on the greatest nation to date, while said nation's pulse becomes faint, bleeding out in your arms.

So who's ready for national socialism?
Anybody?
Come on, it's for the people, the greater good.

We just have to submit like a dog to his master. Then we can all be equal.
Equally Broke, starving, and homeless, like good little nazis.
We can work like slaves and maybe the fuhrer Obama will "allow" us to buy something we want to buy.
And, and it will be cheaper, because the fuhrer said so, period.

Wait were the nazis really socialists?
I thought they were just bad people.

Come on doesn't socialism taste good?

Or does it taste like a crap sandwich?

exactly, every transaction will soon have an added tax to compensate for the lack of funds. lets call it the "we suck at our jobs so naturally you need to bail us out"-tax.
