It is made by some people in Italy and China. Google them. They are listed via the ''credits'' link at the bottom of that book selling site. They are most likely Jewish and wanting to sell their message in a children's book, but without blatantly starting fires. You don't think they would jump up and shout look we're nasty political Jews! Do you?

For the same reason booking a flight to 'palestine' on an airliner website wont work, no country under that name shows up
I would have thought that was because there are no airports in Palestine. Am I wrong about that? Are there airports in Palestine?

Funny she doesn't mention that Palestine isn't on the map either and it's right next door. I wonder why?

... because it's not a country. That's why.

You think maybe they are looking a little into the future?

Oh, and to those who insist Palistine is not a country "because it has no defined borders", I say the same is true with Israel.
If you do not believe me, look it up. They have refused to set any defined borders for themselves for years.

Does the same rule apply?

I see a missed opportunity here.

Instead of having Israel or Palestine or neither, they should have left the whole area blank and provided a pencil and eraser with the book.

Pro Israeli? Pro Palestinian?

It doesn't matter! Make your own borders!

Or, for the cartomaniacs out there, you can change the borders as they change. Live! In your book!

Palestine doesnt' exist as a country. It wants to. But it doesn't.
Israel is a sovereign recognized country. It's just that simple.
I know, those who luv to hate-on Israel don't like that fact. But it's true.

Official Countries of the World - Listed by the United Nations
Israel is there. Founded again in 1949.
There is no country of Palestine. None.

I dunno.... why dont you go on British airways, virgin atlantic, american airlines and any other airliner u wish, and look for an airport in a mythical country called 'palestine'. Sorry to break it to ya, it dont exist!

What is so hard to comprehend here?

Doesn't anyone think its a little pathetic that any sovereign nation would care what's in a children's fictional books map section? I mean you gotta be pretty petty to give a boot when it seems like every African nation was self secure enough not to make a big deal. Lebanon didn't get into a fuss. Shouldn't a bit of Syria be marked in the upper right corner if the map?

Why doesn't any other country care what's in this child's book? Why is only one country offended and offended so easily. Hell the other day a group of 6 year olds maid fun if me because I went to grab the mail at my apt with out a shirt on. Apparently they all found it gelatinous. Now what did I do about it? Did I, A get extremely insecure and charge over to the school yard chain fence and start screaming at the disrespectful kids while foaming at the mouth like a rabbit dog. Demand an apology and threaten to get the kids spelled from school and pick a fight with their parents? Or did I go with option B and laughed it off thinking to myself "ohhh kids these days". And then walk off like a man not effected by extremely petty things.

Maybe it was such a blow to my fragile ego that somebody ( in this case a bunch if kids) didn't completely and totally OSS my ass and treat me like I'm more special than everybody else and like I should be made sone sort if exception.

It's a start I guess.
As soon as we can wake up the rest of the world to israeli atrocities, maybe we can make the real thing happen and we can have some peace in the mid east!

I hate to ask, but, if you would take the time and trouble; I know that is asking a lot right there. But look over the "Balfore Agreement" and find out where Israel's position was established to be. Now look closely at any maps of the period and compare that to current maps which show "what is claimed by Isreal" to be their land. They have not "declared" any boundries for their nation EVER. This is how they continue to take land which was not "given" to them by said agreement. Which "by the way" was illegal by any and all international standards. The British had no right to the land which they gave away.

What I think is a little pathetic is that people don't understand why the folks in Israel wouldn't be happy about it. The muslim countries around Israel don't want to acknowledge that Israel exists. They are training the children not to think it exists. It's subliminal and it's indoctrination starting with the youngest people. And it's in line with what Hamas and the Palestinians do with the children over there with Childrens programming and literature ....

Take off the anti-Israel blinders and see what is going on ...

Oh please ..... if you get rid of Israel and it's 'atrocities' then you'll just have a bunch of Muslims in their long-worked-for caliphate and THEIR atrocities. There will not ever be peace in the middle east. No matter if Israel is there or not. The people living in that region ALWAYS need an 'enemy' to fight or be afraid of. It's the only thing that holds them together. Straight out of 'Animal Farm' ....

Thats true, because israel wiped it off the map.

But it was there, with its well defined borders and everything.

It was especially there, mentioned repeatedly, in the context of redistribution from one group to another, what we in the US call socialism, fascism and a sense of entitlement which makes everything else pale in comparison.

As a matter of fact, it looked almost identical to what israel looks like today, what an odd coincidence...

Oh for heavens sake!! Some people are so dang sensitive!! The book isn't even about that particular area, it just happens to be close to the area they are talking about.

Geronimo Stilton are my daughters FAVORITE books of all time. They really are quite amazing and teach the kids a lot by ways of imagination and curiosity. I truly hope this doesn't hurt them and they can keep printing out their fabulous books.
