Very sad that this keeps happening. This is going to upset the pro-gun nazi patrol. I expect they shall arrive soon to say that shooting stories shouldn't be posted.

As a "pro-gun Nazi", I think stories such as these are important to read and should be shared with others.

Most likely this person doing the shooting is not a responsible gun owner.

Side note: I hate it when people invoke the term Nazi. It really detracts from the horrific things the Nazis did.

Talking about a particular type.

And it's called freedom of speech. Look it up.

Just came across the news here in W. PA that it might be drug related due to a student being tossed out of school previously.

BTW, I find it odd that you support the 1st and expect others to support you and your rights, while you choose NOT to support those whom believe in the 2nd!!!

Very telling.......you can't pick or choose. You either believe in the Constitution as written, or you don't!

How many people a week are killed by speech? You will get many stars for that post, even though you are wrong.

It is a shame that this subject has become so acidic. There is a lot under this topic that could use some civil dialogue. But, instead, those who are law abiding gun owners often become targets simply because they defend their right to that ownership and that they haven't done anything wrong. This does indeed create a lot of cynicism.

Why does it seem that every time something like this happens, the focus immediately focuses on the inanimate object rather than the humans attached to them or what it is that has created such people to begin with.

How many criminal acts are squashed due to responsible gun owners and how many lives are saved, as well?

There is much more to this debate than just guns=death.

Because people's agendas mean more to them than the tragedy in this day's world. Both pro and anti-gun.

Ummmmm, how many people are killed by using speech to piss off someone with their words?

Answer my question!!

Why are your rights more important than other law abiding citizens rights?

OOOPS! My bad, I just gave you a question that makes it impossible for you to answer didn't I????

It amazes me that folk like you value your rights, but our quick to jump on the partisan band wagon to take others away!

Good luck with that!

Right now, not many. If the authoritarians in government get their way though, they will kill everyone who speaks against them, we've seen it over and over throughout history. Just look at what Obama and his administration are doing to whistle-blowers, look at the IRS targeting the right, look at Fast and Furious, look at the "Patriot" Act, the NDAA, and on and on. If it weren't for the 2nd amendment, we'd be bowing down to the King of the United States.

Are you serious? A good "speech" can kill thousands in a war, or in an "ethnic cleansing", or for "National Purity".....look up the Killing Fields someday, you may be surprised and hopefully appalled by what "mere words" can do to millions.

Anyhoo, back to the actual topic:
Good news

Looks like none of the injuries are life threatening.

Interesting question. There are many ways to answer that. One would be that American free speech has killed 900 civilians via drone in Pakistan alone since 2004. That's approximately 100 per year on average so roughly 2 per week in one country. How many other hateful idiots in the US utilize inflammatory speech that leads to people being killed? Look at the bombings and murders perpetrated by pro-life extremists. How many did the KKK kill under the pretense of the 1st amendment. What about bullying related deaths? While speech in and of itself doesn't kill it has the power to urge people to do so just as much as a gun needs outside prodding to fire a round. It doesn't do it in its own.

IMESHO, I think our culture has become weak... thin-skinned and entirely incapable of tolerating anything, including mere words, that doesn't fit a form of certain political comfort and correctness.

At one time, we learned from childhood that sticks and stones may break our bones but words could never hurt us. This taught us to turn away from cheap insults and valueless remarks. When we do this, we can walk away and they don't mean a thing. Words designed to cause hurt have no weight unless those hearing them give them value.

This doesn't make excuses for bullies and such but... we don't have to live just to be victims and we don't have to fear words just because we don't like them or the blathering mouths behind them.

Police believe the shooting might stem from a drug-related fight between some students last month, Richard said. She didn't immediately provide more details.

The victims are all boys, and none immediately spoke or cooperated with police, Richard said. All were listed in good to stable condition at city hospitals, she said.

www.foxnews.com...

So for those who have posted in hate and in haste, an apology would probably be in order.

A shooting near a high school that was drug-related.

But by all means, lets blame the gun.
