yes, I got all those things covered 100%.
I may much more aware of what my coverage was than many, if not most, of the citizens.
Like I said, I had EXCELLENT insurance...my union made sure of that

I also had only a small co-pay and reasonable deductible.....which never kept me from getting covered care when I was sick.

I know what my new coverage will be, and how much it will cost, what it will cover and when...it was verified through the ACA-compliant insurance broker.
I know preventative things are covered...but that if you are sick or break a bone....your must pay your deductible first.
All I can afford is the bronze plan....it's either that of paying the penalty.

Rather than guess you know what people are thinking, you should realize many of us are quite aware of what ACA costs....and what it will cover...and when.

But the former system was still broken.

Again ... 85% of the people in the USA were happy with the health care system.
Only 15% didn't have insurance and wanted it.
Instead of finding something for the 15% - Obama broke the ENTIRE SYSTEM.
That's just the truth of the matter.

I didn't source Rush, the article I posted sourced him then proceed to back his claim up with someone else that confirmed that what Rush said was indeed true. Rush may be a conservative windbag, but he is spot on in this case. You can totally avoid the penalty by not getting a refund and there is nothing the government can do about it. This may be upsetting to you, but it WILL come down the pipeline on how to take advantage of this, you are right I don't know a lot about tax law (considering it is too large and confusing, I'd rather not learn about it), but someone who does will find a way. It's only a matter of time.

Explain how the ACA is helpful beyond helping people with pre-existing conditions and children under 26. Or better yet, explain how the math is supposed to work out. If I bring $2000 a month in and spend $1600 on bills and an additional $200 on gas and groceries and now are being required to spend another $250 on insurance, where am I supposed to get this money from?

If you make 24k a year, you will qualify for such a huge subsidy that you are not going to spend 250 a month on insurance. You are just pulling random numbers out of your butt and it is just showing how uninformed you are.

Not to mention what about savings? Am I just not allowed to save money anymore? What about having a life? Nope I gotta work to pay the bills and barely stay alive all so I can have the benefit of having insurance that covers my yearly mammograms and pre-natal care as a man and be unable to use it if something actually goes wrong because the deductible is thousands of dollars.

Only you can improve your situation...if you don't think you make enough money to live the life you think you should...do something about it. But don't cry about it.

Seriously, it's not just Fox News that is talking about the bad parts of this bill, liberal news outlets are slowly starting to trickle out with bad news. Here are FOUR sources that AREN'T Foxnews that all have something negative to say about the bill.

So the "bad parts" you are referring to is mostly the poor rollout...I agree...the rollout was abysmal. That doesn't mean the entire thing is bad. Look at Medicare part D...that rollout was worse than the ACA and now it is one of the most supported parts of Medicare.

So stop talking about Foxnews already, Obamacare is a very REAL disaster and no amount of deflection or harping on its good points is going to change that.

It's only a disaster in the minds of the right wingers...it hasn't even had a chance yet to call it a disaster. It may be a disaster, but that call can't be made yet...unless you want to parrot Rush Limbaugh or Hannity or Fox News...so yes...I will continue calling out the Fox News parrots when I see them....like yourself.

And again, I don't care if it fails...that just means single payer sooner rather than later. Unless you have a better solution...which no one seems to have, accept the one guy that thinks there should be no insurance and everyone should pay their doctors directly out of pocket...which is just hilarious.

Way to parrot liberal deflection tactics with that followup post. Did I ever say or even remotely SUGGEST that I agreed with women having to cover men's health risks? I am just as equally upset that a woman should have vasectomy coverage in their insurance plans as men having mammogram coverage. Also for the UPTEENTH time I'm not a Republican! I know I've told you this MANY MANY MANY MANY times in probably ever Obamacare discussion we've had. I'm not going to tell you my political affiliation either, because I'm tired of telling you it too.

no disrespect but, you're dreamer without a dream worth mentioning, if you think that way. go check it out yourself, not nearly enough will be buying your plan, the ACA, nor single payer, we will dissolve as a nation long before that because, and you keep forgetting, we are broke. the middle class is broke, we have no funds to spare, so unless the genius's in dc want to pay, it aint happening.

blood meet stone. you have a lot of awareness to attain, but that's okay, we're all learning.

Oh give it a break...we aren't broke...at best we (US citizens) are horrible budgeters and priortizers. Maybe the Jones's don't need that big SUV that takes $200 of gas per month...maybe they don't need those jet skis or the boat they use 4 months out of the year...maybe they could stop wasting money buying guns and ammo and focus on what is important.

And please, don't bother me with the doom and gloom porn of "we are going to dissolve as a nation" crap...I don't do doom porn.

All this reply said to me is "I have no counter for any of your points, so I am just going to use doom porn".

again no disrespect, but you haven't a clue and should probably stop discussing topics you're so ignorant of, it's makes you look foolish. perhaps another topic is in order, cross stitch perhaps?, puzzles, no i don't think puzzles would be a good fit.

No the numbers I came up with are the numbers from my own personal budget. $2000 a month isn't gross pay which is how tax brackets are calculated, it is net pay. I don't qualify for a subsidy because I actually make $36000 a year before taxes, but take home far less because uncle sam perpetually has his hand in my pocket.

Also you didn't read those links did you, at least one of them was talking about how people with employer covered insurance in 2018 are going to go through the same crap as the people with individual coverage are currently going through.

Also this whole "let it fail so we can have single payer solution" is by far the absolute WORST talking point of the left. Shove a giant stinking turd of legislation down our throats and cause severe financial hardship for many middle class families (coming to light that it is effecting more people then they originally thought it would too), then look like the saviors of your own manufactured crisis with your already crafted solution. Ends justify the means. Sick crap right there. My solution? I don't have one, but I certainly don't trust the crocodiles in business suits we call politicians in D.C. to come up with a good one either.

ETA:

Only you can improve your situation...if you don't think you make enough money to live the life you think you should...do something about it. But don't cry about it.

I AM trying to improve my situation. I knew I wouldn't be able to afford college after high school and instead of taking out loans I went into the military for the G.I. Bill. I have recently graduated and got the job I now have. I'm trying to work up to a decent paycheck, but cannot do that if Obama and company keep taking money away from me every time I try to start saving or having a life. It's not a matter of not trying, its liberals constantly telling me what I need to spend my money on.

I love it when Right Wingers reveal that they are proud Union members...it is so hilarious.

There is no guessing involved, I know a lot of people are uninformed even when they think they are not. I know that some people distort the facts of their situation to improve their argument. I know that some people used to claim they had no idea what the ACA was about and then all of a sudden they are experts.

So tell us...why did your Union that you are employed through drop the great health insurance that sounds like it was 100% compliant, and even if it wasn't would have been grandfathered in???

Good luck with your tax fraud. Have fun with your penalties and your audits.

I honestly don't care, I just don't think you should encourage others to follow your fraudulent advice. You go ahead and follow what Rush Limbaugh tells you to do...and then ask yourself if he is following his own advice or if he is going to go out and buy the best health insurance he can afford.

And when you need medical services, and you will, don't cry about how it is bankrupting you to pay it because you are making the conscious, but dumb, choice of opting out of health insurance.

Democrats have this strange idea that apparently it is only Republicans who would disagree with them and that everyone else just naturally loves their ideas. Then they have this strange bias that whenever someone points out a flaw in one of their ideas, it is just a Republican talking point and everything is all sunshine and rainbows.

Well while that sounds very interesting Beezzer is other things that goes around that make go hum and haa about some postings around here, but hell when you been here long enough you get to see lot of things, or let be nice and think is all coincidence.

Like Flyers Fan said, only a small percentage of the population need the healthcare pre existing condition 'help" but because this was as many other things a pay out for the insurance companies the government decided to treat everybody the same, screwing the working class that already had insurance along with those that never will even qualify for ACA due to been in the welfare and poverty group.

The government knows the mess they created and they know that is going to be a lot challenging and law sues but they thing they can stick it to the working class anyway.

let see.

FACT - 85% of America was happy with what they had.

Proof?

And how satisfied would those people be when they actually needed their insurance and they hit their lifetime cap and treatment was cut off?

FACT - only 15% of America was unhappy.

Was they?

FACT - Obama broke the ENTIRE SYSTEM when all he should have worked with was the %15.

The entire system was broken out completely out dated. What we really needed was single payer or at the very least to have a public insurance option...but our population is currently to stupid to understand that. So instead we got a temporary band aid until we can get to single payer.

I am just completely at a loss of words with those of you championing our old system...I honestly can not have a conversation with someone so deluded by hate to attempt that argument.

- Tens of millions of Americans are...

Tens of millions of Americans are stupid beyond belief...so when you make an argument based on a large percentage of Americans have the same opinion on something...it doesn't really help.

But let's look at your silly claims anyway.

Tens of millions of Americans are angry because they are being forced to buy something (Obamacare) they don't want and don't think they need.

Tens of millions of Americans are stupid enough to think there is something call "Obamacare" that they have to buy.

- Tens of millions of Americans are angry because they liked their health care system, it worked for them, but it was taken away from them by Obamacare.

It worked for them because they never really had to use it.

- Tens of millions of Americans are angry because they are being forced to buy insurance that is WORSE than they had before, and yet they have to pay three times as much for it.

100% false bullcrap rhetoric straight from Fox News. What did their insurance cover before that it doesn't now?

- Tens of millions of Amercians are angry because it's VERY OBVIOUS that Obama LIED to get his Obamacare pushed through.

The ACA law provided for insurance companies to keep the old plans that didn't conform to the standards...so he didn't lie at all. He can't force the insurance companies to not cancel the old plans...they are doing this on their own free will.

Tens ofmillions of Americans are angry because we knew this crash was going to happen but the O-Bots just kept pushing it through. WE TOLD YOU SO. (there, I said it).

Nothing has crashed...and even if it does...good...that is the end game all along. Single Payer will be forced to take over if it ends up crashing, which is a good thing. Yep...you really told us.

- Tens of millions of Americans are angry because Obama said he wouldn't raise taxes, and yet this Obamacare 'tax' is pushed through and it's the largest tax hike in American History. He lied (again).

Another Fox News false talking point. What extra tax am I going to be paying due to the ACA???

- Tens of millions of Americans are angry because Obamacare is UNSUSTAINABLE.. It simply can't be sustained.

It's not meant to be sustainable, it's meant to be a gap measure until we can get to single payer. It was designed this way.

- Tens of millions of Americans are angry because of WAIVER-GATE. The Obama administration is giving out Obamacare waivers to unions and other Obama friendly business' and groups. It's obviously political payoffs. More 'hope and change' from Mr. Transparency.

It's false rhetoric and you apparently have zero idea what these "waivers" entail...but Fox News said it...so of course you will parrot it.

But I am pro-left wing and I am fine admitting it. It is those that deny they ever listen to Fox News or that they aren't a Republican, *ahem* sound familiar *ahem*, that I am calling out. You can call me a Left Winger all you want...I'm proud of it. You can say I'm partisan all you want, I indeed am...and again I am proud of it.

You see, I'm not ashamed of what I am because I know I am in the right and I can defend my positions and the positions of the left wing. Right Wingers are ashamed of what they are because they

The ACA is better than our old system...period. Getting rid of pre-existing conditions and lifetime/annual caps alone is a 1000% improvement over our old system...if you deny that then you are clueless. Not to mention ensuring all kids are insured, that children can stay on their parents insurance until they are 26, 100% covered preventative care, and subsidies for the poor to get insurance.

I honestly don't care about those that are crying about they lost their old crappy policy (even if they say they loved it and it was the bestest insurance ever) and now they have to pay a little more to get a lot more. In short, I don't care about dumb people complaining about things they don't understand.

Stupid people need to be governed for their own good...period...has always been this way and always will be this way.

Even the founders, for all their faults, knew this...this is why when the won independence from England that they knew they had to institute a government to govern the populace...because they knew stupid people needed to be governed. If they didn't think so, they would have declare that no government shall ever be established and people are smart enough to know what is best for themselves...but they didn't do that...did they?
