The have been many times when I did a search before posting a thread, where nothing comes up on a subject, only to find that there IS already a thread
that does not show up in the search.Has anyone else come across this problem? Is there a way to double check?

The best thing I could tell you is to use more words, change the time to atleast the last year. Change the number of returns to 150.

I dont use the search...it pisses me off too much, i just read through sections to make sure things are not covered. If im posting news stories, i
quickly look through ATSNN before i post.

Use at least two of the fields, so at least two words...
Usually gives better results.
Or google on the subject, but include "abovetopsecret" in the search

Usually when I'm using the search, I'm looking for a thread that I already know exists, and I want to reference it. In just about every case, I
enter the specific subject keywords and rarely get the thread that I'm looking for.
I no longer use the ATS search. Google finds it every time.
Maybe that's the trick. Maybe that's also the trick to 22,000 google click-thrus...
